I prefer her singing this in the 70s rather than this. It has the awful microphone echo on it and I dunno, it sounds odd and I don't feel it suits it. Still great but not quite as good.
No slight on Billy and Rick but it is interesting to note it took two artists to replace Buckingham for these few years he was away. Tango is, no doubt, a strong effort by FM.
@poohbearjdm Don't you understand that PETER GREEN had Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan alonside him in the original FM? It isn't that it took TWO people to replace Lindsey...it is simply another musician added to the band.
I don't know who did it, but the camera work and the composition of these Tango Tour series is absolutely fantastic work. It's probably the best possible conditions and the best possible performance imaginable made into magic.
It is unbelievable how her voice had changed so dramatically from years of cocaine snorting. Don't get me wrong, I think it sounds good, and she is STILL great, but there is a noticeable difference between the way this sounds live in the late 70's and now vocally. Her pitch and range had completely changed.
I never liked those particular style of hats Stevie wore during that period. This however, is a great performance of GDW. "Not again baby, not again".
This has been Stevie Nick's signature look for many years. She looks very bewitching and brings thousands of people to their feet when she comes on stage. Just saw her recently. She is awesome. I would love to look as good as she does on this video, or even now. You must be missing the point of her attire.
Um Stevie's "signature look" doesn't always include this particular style of hat. Trust me, I've been a fan for 20 years and seen her live countess times - I know her look. I was simply implying that I don't find this style of hat particularly attractive. I did not miss any point.
Rick Vito and Billy Burnette took over Buckingham's role. Vito was/is a session player. His most memorable solo is probably on Bob Seger's "Like a Rock." He also played on Jackson Browne's "Lawyers in Love" album. Burnette comes from a very musical family. Johnny Burnette was a big artist in the 50's. Rocky Burnette was a one hit wonder in 1980 with "tired of toein the line." Billy also played in M. Fleetwood's side project "The Zoo." Vito was replaced by Dave Mason (Traffic.)
I saw her solo in the 80s, she was terrible, probably whacked out. thank the rock and roll gods that Joe Walsh opened or I would have demanded my money back, he kicked ass!
I was really disappointed with her show but still think she is a great performer, Joe as always was great and would like to see him solo again. maybe Stevie could opn for him.
is it me or were all of 80's concerts filmed in the same style. look at pink floyd delicate sound of thunder they seemed like there made by the same crew

Is this Danny Vito on guitar? And if so, what is his story with Fleetwood Mac? I know he came in for Lindsey, but did he do anything important?
