We struggle with some of the same pitfalls. A glass of wine, one margarita, one pint at the brewpub are all fine. But unfortunately, it always turns into a bottle, a pitcher, 4 beers. And with overindulgence in alcohol comes every bad decision I've ever made. Better for me also to stay away from booze and boys!
Purely in response to the title, yes i understand that much! the way it works with me is i have to remain completely abstinent from sin because once i start doing something i shouldnt do then its like rolling a snowball down a hill.....the farther it goes without me immediately stopping it, the less chance i have to stop it at all, so i cant give him an inch or I'm screwed

"25Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear, O house of Israel: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust? 26If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die. 27But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life."
@dehallmo gifts as in spiritual gifts? i never said that. i was given the gift of tongues fresh out of sin, still not fully repented of things in my life. hearing the voice of God loudly and clearly comes with living a sanctified life. the only way to live sanctified is to repent

And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his ownt by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.
You are a breath of fresh air because it is rare to heap ppl speak soo much about Jesus and soo dilligently. I witness to ppl in person myself and am heavily covered in the blood of Jesus, but I'm still growing closer to Jesus(aw we all should be). Keep waking ppl up but remember what I said in your comment box, you've gotta let ppl know the "ugly truth" as well about the actual sins we commit and overlook daily; I've gotten ugly looks but Jesus rewards His bold children!!!
Our sins are but a atom,or a molecule, lying on the bottom of the ocean.Satan is defeated.Just put it on the Son of Mans shoulders.Fear of God is the begining of wisdom.Before I was saved it was a matter of Heaven or Hell, now it is a simple matter of reward or stubble.Thank God for the age of Grace.Bre when you got saved did you get baptised by immersion?
@castyournet1 this is where we disagree strongly. if you live in sin, youre not saved. God will not be mocked. there are just as many scriptures to back this up. we need to repent, otherwise we will be spewed out of Gods mouth. and yes, i was water baptized and holy spirit baptized. <3
@MicahsMommy1234 What about that story of the two men who prayed... the one where one man thanked God he wasnt like all the evil people and then there was the tax collector that just beat his chest and said have mercy on me father a sinner... both men obviously had some kind of faith as they were praying but the man who knew he was a sinner was justified? Just curious your thoughts on that.
