  • ....In conclusion, this advise is very vague. This point isn't really aimed t the lady but more at the guy and his inept questioning skills which shed very little light on sports nutrition.

  • ...and in fact the recommendations are to increase antioxidant intake through dietary sources (nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables) which contain micronutrients and phytochemicals in a synergistic mixture that can never be recreated in a pill.

    Furthermore, due to the increased energy expenditure associated with sports athletes increase their food intake anyhow and provided this food is wholesome micro-nutrient intake will increase in line with this....

  • a few points:-

    1) This lady speaks of complex carbs in the same breath as low GI carbs but they are not interchangeable terms. Complex carbs are not always low GI- wholemeal bread is high GI. Conversely, simple sugars can be low GI- fructose is low GI, sucrose is medium GI.

    2) The statement that supplements are taken when insufficient amounts are ingested through ones's diet is very simplistic. There is no evidence for the use of isolated micronutrients antioxidant supplementation...

  • the awkward silences before a question makes it a little uncomfortable to watch.

  • lol how many times does she say omg? Look at 3.33 when her mobile rings. This guy whos inteerviewing her seems to be in her house, maybe he tried it on with her afterwards, lol

  • This presentation has been informative for me.  Thanks for sharing what you know of your field of work to benefit other people, particularly athletes.
