You call this an Igorot dance? You make me laugh, intellectually speaking your video here is just plain rubbish because your performance didn't came any closer to our dance. Im proud to say that I am an Igorot by the way and I have been a cultural performer for sometime. My suggestion? Please do a little more research or better yet, click my account and watch the videos of our dances! You can see the difference of my videos and the videos of your performance! i agree with eigthwonderoftheworld... this is more like in the southern part of the philippines. jeezzzz.. wrong way of using the 'bahag and tapis'; wrong music; wrong everything.. if you wanna see real cordilleran dance come to the panagbenga festival this month...(jee i hope they put a good show this time... well at least you could see the real difference)

Please rename this dance. This is not an Igorot Tribal dance. The movements and music are wrong. Please obtain a tape or CD of a real Igorot dance and teach them to your dance troupe, because this is an insult to the Igorot community. Thank you!

Aside from the unacceptable incantation of the "Ay, Ay Salidummay", I don't see any Igorot thing in this. The g-string? Other Filipino tribes use g-strings too.

Please stop labeling your work as Igorot/Cordillera dance if it doesn't contain even just the basic Igorot dance elements.

i am an IGOROT of Kankana-ey descent who grew up in Manila. as from studying my roots, the dances have meanings, usually imitating animals specially the majestic birds of preys like the eagle and hawk, i also admire the courtship dance (imitating how elusive the "hen" at first but because of the "cock's" persistence it gives in), some dances are warlike. whatever, they tell significant stories.THIS IS RREEAAAAALLLYYYY OFFENDING!...NOT ONLY UNEDUCATED BUT IT DOES NOT TELL ANYTHING!

@pinoywilliepu1961 ...in reality...racially speaking (but not the racist way) Igorots are not really Filipinos (of course, we are citizens), we have Sinoid features compared to true Filipinos and we have a strict different culture compared to lowlanders as what you can see on how TRUE IGOROTS are offended by this kind of Filipino "interpretations" of our "story-telling traditional dances".
