Not really, he's actually kind of fat and out of shape, considering that he's been retired as a super hero for quite a while. Veidt on the other hand is very slim and agile, in very good shape when compared to Dreiberg
Ahhhh, I knew this scene didn't feel right but couldn't put my finger on it.
Still, I'm willing to assume there was a reason behind this change and wait and see the film first before passing judgment.
I'm expecting there to be many little changes like this in the film as is inevitable when converting something to a movie, the question is will the story and the meaning of it remain intact?
The change was made in David Hayter's version of the script. There, Dan visits Adrian after Rorshach's first meeting with Dan.
What I find more interesting is the change from the script in this scene alone. Here Adria seems more concerned about the war..... which does fit him, actually.
Why did they replace Rorschach with Dan for this scene? :/ This is one of the first things that has actually really bothered me. Makes me wonder what else they're going to change if they change something as simple as this
It's not *that* important. I suppose it was done to mix things up a bit, otherwise it would be just following Rorschach about as he visits all the different places. But perhaps it has something to do with the plot as other things were changed.

they obviously made screenplay vs novel changes to dumb it down so its easier to grasp really really heavy subject matter etc and cut to the chase
