Today i learned, if i need advice regarding animals, i'll just consult everyone on youtube because their knowledge on every animal known to man is limitless!
The owner is a fuc.ing idiot and doesn't care what happen whit this monkey! At 0:18 EVERYBODY can see the monkey doesn't want that but the owner does! That's show everything about the owner who want to do a video!
The slow loris is threatened by the international pet trade. According to ProFauna, trafficking of the protected species is still common. "Slow lorises are protected by law in Indonesia, however "around 7,000 lorises have been caught and traded since 2000." The animal's teeth are usually removed using pliers prior to sale and slow loris suffer high mortality in captivity due to infection, poor handling and animal cruelty.
You have absolutely no context to make an accusation that it's stuck in an apartment. This could be the break room at a zoo or sanctuary. It could be an animal recuperating at a vet. It could be a room in almost any location.
Flagging this video for animal abuse. Loris are wild animals in danger of extinction, illegal to own. Videos like that and idiots who decide to keep them as pets just encourage other people to get them as a pets. I want to believe that the owner treats the animal well, and tries his best to make his pet as confortable as possible, but this isnt natural for him, and you kinda see a bit of sadness in this.
He just stands there, doing nothing, looking at the emptiness of the room he is in (the pet)
Again, I believe the owner loves his pet, and tries to do his best to make him happy, but he will never be happy imprisoned inside an apartment room
@CabooseAzul You're trying to attach human emotions to an animal and interpret facial expressions as if they were from a person. Don't. A chimpanzee smiling for instance, probably means he wants to kill you...
An animal has yearning, frustration, dejectedness, fun and happiness. It's right before anyone's eyes when they only pay attention. Naturally, the "sad" look in the eyes doesn't equal real sadness. But you can't conclude in turn, perhaps out of a pointless feeling of pride and the will to dominate animals like "biomatter", that they feel nothing at all.
@2WallsBalls That is the dumbest statement I have ever read in my life. Of course animals feel emotion. Before I got my dog Buster he was abused and every time someone would lift there foot to walk over something Buster would move in fear because he thought we were going to hit him and you could see it on his face. I just cannot believe how ignorant you actually are to not see this or feel a animals emotion, you obviously have no real experience with animals. And by the way it's *about NOT bought.
@sanniirella animals aren't selfish? pigs will drink untill they are huge and the runt dies. all they have are selfish tendencies, I'm finished with this conversation, that stuff your dog does is not anger its to protect itself, and by the way jealousy is an emotion. the dog whimpers when it wants something.

He just sits there, behind his monitor, saying noting helpful, avoiding the emptiness of his social life (the poster)
Again, I believe the poster loves animals, and tries to do this best to make a smart comment, but he will never be taken seriously.
By your thinking, we should let all dogs and cats run free?
If it was born in captivity it knows no different.
Besides, these things are incredibly slow and it would take a year or so for it to even do a lap of the smallest apartment.
That you think you can read its emotions is hilarious. You clearly know nothing about the behaviour of this animal if you think it just "stands there"...thats what they tend to do...
@CabooseAzul I'm not sure why you would feel sad for this video. This creature looks clean, healthy, and well taken care of. And we don't know if he's "imprisoned"; maybe the owner takes him outside in his backyard.
i agree with 01000001011100100111 in that you can't interpret other animals' facial expressions as if it's a human's. body language between species is VERY different. however i agree that this is completely wrong, and animals have the capacity to feel emotions similar to human emotions.
If any of you screaming about him abusing these animals, please take some time and look at the other videos, where he simply pets them and they roll around like little kittens. These animals are clearly being taken care of by this person so stop fucking screaming about abuse.
And those of you who think it should be in the wild, why don't you go free some cats and dogs, they also have a right to be free.
I want to believe that the owner treats the animal well, and tries his best to make his pet as confortable as possible, but this isnt natural for him, and you kinda see a bit of sadness in this.

most sad thing is that it is a night animal and that the constant light hurt it's eyes and eventually it will end up nlind -.- gg op for setting it's fate in stone
I understand the owner thinks it is so much fun to comb that poor little animal, but PLEASE BRING HIM BACK TO HIS HOME, TO THE WILDERNESS AND STOP KEEPING THEM AS PETS!!!!! Understand it IS NOT GOOD for them! They don't like combing, look how much he suffers, this poor shy little fella! Don't be heartless, bring them back, they are not pets!!!!!! Stop being dumb only lookin at the how cute they are, they will not live too long if they are kept like this!
@BigfootPreston Unfortunely it's no longer possible to take him back to the wilderness for some reason. If he has been there since birth he simply won't adapt.
Even if he was kidnapped there's a problem. Animal dealers cut the Slow Loris teeth before selling them, to avoid having the loris poison the owner. They're teeth are part of their defense mechanism and are probably important for eating. I'm not sure about it but they aren't the same anymore.
Why is an animal that should be in the wild kept as a pet in captivity? because it is quite and has big eyes?....poor poor creature....the human race has some evolving to do...
@MrMindchasm Perhaps people dont know how to treat and give them conditions like in their natural habitats, they are nocturnal animals, they do not bear the light!! You talking about evolving?!? I know hundreds of cases people having dogs, cats, lizards, etc and use them as accessories, dont give a shit to them till they die or turn against the owners!! They hav needs like we do, mainly specific conditions, love and attention. Think about it...
@MrMindchasm - I cannot believe that I have to explain this to you. Dogs and cats have been domesticated over thousands of years..they are now dependant on humans (unless they are wild and scavenge) to feed them. He does not belong in the human environment..he will not come across others of his species if he goes for a walk in the garden or the street..he will not be able to mate in his natural environment nor display behaviour normal to his species. He is alone and he is imprisonned.
@GANGARENE This guy has a ton of lorises. It looks like he's breeding them. I agree, he looks a bit lonely, but that's a personification. You raise some valid points. At least, at the end of the day, the owner seems to be taking care of them and loving them, regardless of how right or wrong it is or how the animal was acquired (which is usually a terribly cruel process that I in no way condone).
@aestheticcataclysm Personification or not this animal is isolated from its community. Perhaps the person who 'owns' this animal is taking care of it, but if he is breeding them he is doing it for his own benefit and financial gain. It is so wrong to exploit these animals because they are cute and have big eyes. There should be laws that are upheld to protect these creatures and the humans that exploit and imprison wild animals should be dealt with severely.
@GANGARENE You know I can't agree more wholeheartedly. In an ideal world, I would love to see this species protected and cherished by every measure that law would allow. In fact, I am in the very slow process of putting together a small effort to raise some money to go to a worthy conservatory or rescue that actually promotes itself by playing off the presence of this animal on youtube. I was simply thinking objectively. You know there are a lot of religious/customary reasons that this...cont
@GANGARENE this animal is hurt and hunted as well. It's seen as possessing mystical properties in many parts of Asia, used for everything from fertility treatments to cures for cancer. You sound like you may be not be considering objectively that these animals might continue to be threatened regardless of law and that their cuteness as a pet may be the only thing that saves them. I'm not talking about supporting illegal pet trade, i'm talking about a safe, humane domestication program.
@aestheticcataclysm Unfortunately ignorance and superstition has led to the torture, abuse and exploitation of many animals in the world...most notably Asia. These people need educated and the laws need to be changed and upheld. A domestication program will not "Save" them...save them from what? humans that want to breed them in captivity and keep them as pets? either that or you are speaking of zoos where people can go and gawp at them...I am not sure what your programme entails...
@MrMindchasm - No one should own a lizard or a snake - reptiles should also be in their own environment and anyone who keeps a bird in a cage is perpetuating a terrible injustice against a creature with the most amazing ability that every bird should experience - flying in the open air. It is cruel to breed birds to entertain stupid humans who should stick to the tv and Facebook.
@bookworm266 Sry answer ur question, but i need it!! This animal is nocturnal, parrot or chinchilla not, in this case, why domesticate a nocturnal animal? Try to domesticate a bat, and see how long he lives!! Once again, excuse me for answer you...
@Ricardo91220 Oh, I didn't realise that. Yes, keeping a nocturnal animal as a pet is rather cruel unless you arrange very careful conditions. Which would be pointless 'cos you'd never see it then. And don't apologise! You answered my question very well.
@jonahlomu111 Since you "genuinely" care for animals, I suggest you watch Food inc and see how animals are treated in the USA. So stop stereotyping! Animal cruelty is not exclusive to a single country. Don't use it as a pretext to spew your racist jibber nonsense. Gosh individuals like you make this society go backwards, therefore F U too!
You hippies need to settle down you make me sick it is clearly being taken care of and a lot of those exotic pets are rescued so if not for that person it would probably be dead so do some homework and learn something before you cry like little bitches.
i love this creepy cutie <3

He just sits there, behind his monitor, saying noting helpful, avoiding the emptiness of his social life (the poster)
Again, I believe the poster loves animals, and tries to do this best to make a smart comment, but he will never be taken seriously.

@hakkujin Sooo, your ideia is that the animal is feeling comfortable and natural on this video?
Tell me why then, explain this to me. By your comment, you master the subject!
The animal Loris is not a Pet!
Nothing like a dog our a cat, animals that were domesticated thousands of years.
This animal is just cute for a human fucked up eye, an OBJECT, nothing more than that.

@CabooseAzul to be fair you don't know what thwe alternative conditions for this animal are.

@CabooseAzul

@CabooseAzul What's with you people and putting human emotions into animals. Is it the eyes?
stev019 5 months ago
@CabooseAzul
i agree with 01000001011100100111 in that you can't interpret other animals' facial expressions as if it's a human's. body language between species is VERY different. however i agree that this is completely wrong, and animals have the capacity to feel emotions similar to human emotions.
katyellow 4 months ago
If any of you screaming about him abusing these animals, please take some time and look at the other videos, where he simply pets them and they roll around like little kittens. These animals are clearly being taken care of by this person so stop fucking screaming about abuse.
And those of you who think it should be in the wild, why don't you go free some cats and dogs, they also have a right to be free.

I feel sad for this video.

BigfootPreston 5 months ago
@BigfootPreston Unfortunely it's no longer possible to take him back to the wilderness for some reason. If he has been there since birth he simply won't adapt.
Even if he was kidnapped there's a problem. Animal dealers cut the Slow Loris teeth before selling them, to avoid having the loris poison the owner. They're teeth are part of their defense mechanism and are probably important for eating. I'm not sure about it but they aren't the same anymore.

@BigfootPreston *It's not all teeth btw.

Not cute in any way, cruel and a disgrace. Clearly the animal is not happy. I pity the poor thing, it would be better off dead.

Don't do that to him, he clearly doesn't like it, which you can see from the way he bears his teeth at the brush.

Why is an animal that should be in the wild kept as a pet in captivity? because it is quite and has big eyes?....poor poor creature....the human race has some evolving to do...
GANGARENE 5 months ago
@GANGARENE Why is it you can own a dog, a cat, a lizard, a snake but this animal is any different? You have some evolving to do.
MrMindchasm 5 months ago 4
@MrMindchasm Perhaps people dont know how to treat and give them conditions like in their natural habitats, they are nocturnal animals, they do not bear the light!! You talking about evolving?!? I know hundreds of cases people having dogs, cats, lizards, etc and use them as accessories, dont give a shit to them till they die or turn against the owners!! They hav needs like we do, mainly specific conditions, love and attention. Think about it...
Ricardo91220 5 months ago
@MrMindchasm - I cannot believe that I have to explain this to you. Dogs and cats have been domesticated over thousands of years..they are now dependant on humans (unless they are wild and scavenge) to feed them. He does not belong in the human environment..he will not come across others of his species if he goes for a walk in the garden or the street..he will not be able to mate in his natural environment nor display behaviour normal to his species. He is alone and he is imprisonned.
GANGARENE 5 months ago
@GANGARENE This guy has a ton of lorises. It looks like he's breeding them. I agree, he looks a bit lonely, but that's a personification. You raise some valid points. At least, at the end of the day, the owner seems to be taking care of them and loving them, regardless of how right or wrong it is or how the animal was acquired (which is usually a terribly cruel process that I in no way condone).
aestheticcataclysm 5 months ago
@aestheticcataclysm Personification or not this animal is isolated from its community. Perhaps the person who 'owns' this animal is taking care of it, but if he is breeding them he is doing it for his own benefit and financial gain. It is so wrong to exploit these animals because they are cute and have big eyes. There should be laws that are upheld to protect these creatures and the humans that exploit and imprison wild animals should be dealt with severely.
GANGARENE 5 months ago
@GANGARENE You know I can't agree more wholeheartedly. In an ideal world, I would love to see this species protected and cherished by every measure that law would allow. In fact, I am in the very slow process of putting together a small effort to raise some money to go to a worthy conservatory or rescue that actually promotes itself by playing off the presence of this animal on youtube. I was simply thinking objectively. You know there are a lot of religious/customary reasons that this...cont
aestheticcataclysm 5 months ago
@GANGARENE this animal is hurt and hunted as well. It's seen as possessing mystical properties in many parts of Asia, used for everything from fertility treatments to cures for cancer. You sound like you may be not be considering objectively that these animals might continue to be threatened regardless of law and that their cuteness as a pet may be the only thing that saves them. I'm not talking about supporting illegal pet trade, i'm talking about a safe, humane domestication program.
aestheticcataclysm 5 months ago
@aestheticcataclysm Unfortunately ignorance and superstition has led to the torture, abuse and exploitation of many animals in the world...most notably Asia. These people need educated and the laws need to be changed and upheld. A domestication program will not "Save" them...save them from what? humans that want to breed them in captivity and keep them as pets? either that or you are speaking of zoos where people can go and gawp at them...I am not sure what your programme entails...
GANGARENE 5 months ago
@MrMindchasm - No one should own a lizard or a snake - reptiles should also be in their own environment and anyone who keeps a bird in a cage is perpetuating a terrible injustice against a creature with the most amazing ability that every bird should experience - flying in the open air. It is cruel to breed birds to entertain stupid humans who should stick to the tv and Facebook.
GANGARENE 5 months ago 2
@GANGARENE All animals were originally wild. Why is domesticating this animal any worse than domesticating a parrot or a chinchilla?
bookworm266 5 months ago
@bookworm266 Sry answer ur question, but i need it!! This animal is nocturnal, parrot or chinchilla not, in this case, why domesticate a nocturnal animal? Try to domesticate a bat, and see how long he lives!! Once again, excuse me for answer you...
Ricardo91220 5 months ago
@Ricardo91220 Oh, I didn't realise that. Yes, keeping a nocturnal animal as a pet is rather cruel unless you arrange very careful conditions. Which would be pointless 'cos you'd never see it then. And don't apologise! You answered my question very well.

Animal cruelty is not exclusive to a single country. Don't use it as a pretext to spew your racist jibber nonsense. Gosh individuals like you make this society go backwards, therefore F U too!
