My Farther spent 23 yrs. in the Air Force. You can call me an Air Force brat. I'll wear that hat proudly. My Farther flew B-17 and B-24's in the Berlin air lift. He spent 2 years in Japan while I was 7 & 8 yrs. old. It was hard when he came back.
My husband was in Thailand in 1967 & 1968 during the Vietnam war. He was gone when his son was born.
My story is no different than many others that have sacrificed for this great country.

Im an army tank gunner and we have adjustable roles. we have some flyboys that patrol the streets of baghdad with me and my group of guys almost everynight after chow. This period of time right now is getting very emotional for me because my step father is getting ready to go over to the war. he leaves January 1, 2008. I give him the most respect in the world and i hope to see him again, but if i don't i will be unbelivebly proud of him and i love him.

Im an army tank gunner and we have adjustable roles. we have some flyboys that patrol the streets of baghdad with me and my group of guys almost everynight after chow. But yeah to answer your question, there are some airforce guys that do patrol with me and my guys atleaast. P.S. I would love to fly in one of those A-10s they have here. Ive seen one just tear through a building. Its amazing.

A SOLDIER in the Airforce is what I would want to be. Not a mechanic or anything else like that. Even though they are just as equally important.
