You gotta have a Federal Tax No. to order from Weaver. I used to order from Weaver in the 80's. But, one day they came up with this tax no.. So now I just go to the Leather Factory and buy the South American and Mexican Tooling Sides. Got no choice. I've been doing leather carving since 1973, the hides back then where a lot stiffer, and they where a lot of American Tanneries, I used to get my tooling sides from Tennessee Tanning Company. I was low price and you did not need a Tax No.
Totally fascinating... My bree wallet is veg tanned and its beautiful. My red wing shoes are chrome tanned on the outside and veg tanned for the insole. i guess the video speaks for itself.
