@civildefense It's by one of my favorite Norwegian artists, Peter Nicolai Arbo. It depicts Olav Haraldsson, king of Norway from 1015-1028, who was written about in quite a few sagas, including Snorri Sturluson's Heimskringla. Arbo also did the paintings at 0:59, 1:32, and 1:50.

After his death he was exalted as a Saint by the Church, most of Norge (Norway) went back to worshiping the old gods, all except the southern shore. His nickname was "The Big".

It's viking metal, which has become a subgenre of its own, but it started within the black metal genre back in 1988, with Bathory's "Blood Fire Death" album.
