I'm new to these and after seeing these video made me want to buy the game even more, should I buy these game first or play the other ones that one guy was talking about ( I only have wii,3ds, a ps3)
I really miss the old Atelier games. These new ones no longer appeal to me, what with their very different graphical style, and (strictly in my opinion) shitty music. Seriously. This song is killing my ears, while the character and world designs are killing my ears.
Then again, what I really like was the 3/4 view of the 2d(?) world the previous games were set in. Anyway, I won't be getting this game, and that's that. Last, brin on the hate, don't care

@ninjamitsuki I think it looks great! The anime openings for Rorona and Totori were nice, but this one is much more lively. Though they used cgi for this intro it still has that anime feel to it. I can't wait till this game comes out in Spring, though I can't help but feel a little sad since this game marks the end of the Arland saga for the Atelier series.
@CyberSurfer3258 Yeah, but I was someone who grew up with the Lunar games, whose cutscenes were entirely traditionally animated, and anime cutscenes have a special charm for me.
@akamaru3 I have a bit of good news. I just read an article on Siliconera that Atelier Meruru will be headed to the U.S. and Europe in Spring 2012. Of course the bad news is that it's still a long wait, but at least we know the fact that it will be localized and when we should be expecting it. You'll have to occupy yourself with something else until then.
They basically made Rorona a kid since the developers agreed with most of the fan base that they didn't want to see a grown up Rorona. Personally I agree with them this since a 30 year old spouting cutesy ditzy lines and trying to sound cute just doesn't work ... We were all introduce to Rorona as a teen and though I'm going to miss her voice from Atelier Totori, I think Atelier Meruru will do the Arland series its justice for closing out the trilogy :)
