  • They remind me of a reversed watermelon lol

  • If you were my mom............

  • it looks like a blend of watermelon and kiwi :)

  • can I just use this dough to make normal cookies? like, add some chocolate chips, make some balls and bake?

  • can I make a request to you? I'm from Brazil, and in the movies that I watch, I see pies that have the dough making kinda like a bowl in the form, the pan, with some fruits over it, and coverd with more dough, making a pattern on the pie. I really want to know what is the recipe for this dough. If you could help me, I will be so glad... thanks!!!

  • i question were did you get the silicone bowls you used at 0:26 !?!? please reply oh btw love your videos keep it up!

  • @iiamcraftykawaii They were a gift from a friend, I think they were from the "world market" store

  • i made these with the colors of a rainbow and cut them in half after they were in the circles. :) They were a hit at the baby shower they were made for.

  • @hiImDay What a fantastic idea!!!! Thanks very much for letting me know. I think I may steal your idea and post it on my channel. I will credit :))

Well, they kinda look like sushi :)

  • It's a watermelon that's inside out

  • @BunnyAngel101 yeah, when she first uploaded this i thought they were supposed to be watermelons i'm like "first of all it's Christmas time and sencond of all there inside out?"lol!

  • I wonder if you can use all butter, or margerine instead of shortening? would it mess up the cookie?

  • the color of these cookies is the same as the Italian flag! to try :) thanks yoyomax

  • Hey, if I were to boil rood colouring and mix with a little cornstarch, would it reduce to something similar to a food colour paste? or woild boiling affect the colour? Thanks x

  • @LeilaHusseini I don't think boiling will affect the colour

  • cute little cookies! I haven't made one cookie this year, kinda sad about that. I think I will get some baking on this week for the Christmas eve party though. This will be pretty on the table for sure.

  • do we need the butter?

  • @loveinstantlyy You could sub margarine for the butter

  • So cute! It does sound like a great dough. This technique makes great how to videos without a lot of extra stuff making it longer. Perfect for this channel I think. Laughing at the watermelon comments - with very slight variations, they are right! :)

  • Wait, no baking?

  • @OranzineKarve You need to watch the video again or read the description

  • @yoyomax12 no offence, but I think s/he meant it as a joke.....

  • @happyday581 no baking? how is that a joke?

  • @yoyomax12 because its confusing, or at least it confused me. Nvm

  • @yoyomax12 lol, sorry, must have skiped that part then :)

  • I have some of these!! - roc

  • Would be better as a summer recipe! I find it really hard to make cookies red.

  • They kind look like watermelon cookies

  • @yoyomax12 oh ok. Just wondering;) thanks. Could you do a video "red velvet cupcakes"??

  • it looks like you making sushi

  • I just found out that a candy store in my town started selling all sort of cupcake things and stuff. Also they have a lot of Wilton brand stuff, even food color paste and candy melting wafers!! I'm so excited, now I could make a bunch of recipes from your tutorials :D

  • it might help if you roll and cut at the same time when you do cookies like that again!♥

  • I'm so going to try that

  • in the summer, you could reverse the green and the red placement in the cookies, and make them look like watermelon cookies :D

ps- What program do you use to edit you videos?

    Cindy Mae from Texas

  • @CindyMae11 I use windows movie maker

  • It looks like sushi lol

  • Inverted watermelon!

  • Can I add cocoa to the dough and then put a white food coloring?

  • @Danoosh666 I've never heard of white food coloring?

  • @yoyomax12

Near my house, I Have a special shop, with also white food coloring ....

  • so so so very cute but 130 cookies !!!! lol lol plenty for christmas then

  • aw i thought they were watermelons from the thumbnail! buttons are so much cuter ^.^ thanks tammy ;D

  • I love what she uses as a spoon.

  • I'm always looking forward on your videos.

  • Great idea but I have to say they look live water melons! (:

  • Is it neccessary to measure the cookie dough???

  • @TheRealovescupcakes As long as your white piece wider by an inch than your red piece and both are the same length as the green log you made, no.

  • Very cute Tammy!!! :)

  • Where i live there is no shortening, so what do i use thats like shortning?????

  • @xOxSmIlEy4EvAxOx butter, lard, maybe even vegetable oil.it will however change the consistency of your cookies. shortening is for softness and such.

  • @stephany1800 Excellent answer to that question, thank you.

  • They reminded me of watermelons.

  • These cookies remnd me of watermelon :)))

They would turn into watermelons if you switched the green and the red, teehee x)

  • it's like backwards watermelon

  • I'm doing this for a christmas party tomorrow:) thanks:)

  • Looks like watermelon

  • They don't sell paste food colouring at any stores near me. Can I substitute regular liquid food colouring, or will that affect the texture/thickness of the dough in some adverse way?

  • @Dimenshia I think I heard her say once that the liquid food coloring makes it pasty instead of runny and spreadable like the oily one.

  • @Dimenshia You can use liquid colour for this but you may have to add a couple of teaspoons of flour as you knead if you find it too sticky to handle.

  • @Dimenshia try ebay x

  • Cut them in half (diagnoly) before you make em, leave out the white(plain), an you've got watermelon cookies!

  • I'm going to make these this week. :) They are super cute!!

  • @yoyomax12 could you do a video with a cookie like this but with a Santa face in the middle?!?!!?

  • @Bigsis5970 That would be cute, but really hard to do with cookie dough like this

  • Sushi ^^

  • 2nd viewer!

  • These cookies are really cute! Thanks for doing them with all the work involved.

  • Those are some very nice kitchen knives you've got there...

  • a watermelon is red on the inside and green on the outside:) The brain triggers you to think that is looks like a watermelon because it has all the elements that a watermelon has :)

  • aww kinda like sushi! so cute :]

  • can you use more butter instead of shortening?

  • Like my statues if you are drooling right now (: Hehe I love your videos ♥

  • ACTUALLY, THERE IS NO GREEN WATERMELONS. HOWEVER, IT WOULD LOOK LIKE A WATERMELON IF YOU INVERT THE COLORS...

  • I wonder putting an "X" in the middle of the buttons would make them look more like buttons?

  • Your so smart! when I saw the picture I just thought wow thats ganna be a lot of cutting and making small cookies but you just make it like some sushi and cut it smart! or im just reallly stupid lol.

  • They are so cute! I can see they are time consuming. I think a serrated knife with a sawing motion was best for the lemon cookies I made. Hugs girl. So cute!

  • Haha, they so look like watermelon. Very cute though ^_^

  • I like your videos. Is this your profession?

  • Did u hv an accent in the beginning ? Lol that's not a cookie here it's rock candy xD well looks like = p

  • Those look super cute! I have found that when I have to slice things like this, using an electric knife is a Godsend! You would not believe how nice and easy and even it make the slices turn out. I actually found my knife at a yard sale for about 5 bucks. Just letting you know, if you have one, give it a try. Thanks for sharing, love watching every post! Noreen : )
