You move like this and it shocks people. It's not about being a certain size in order to be great because obviously you already have grace, quickness, and technique (that many people of thin body types don't have). But by science/terms of being realistic it IS easier the lighter you are to move (less effort is needed sometimes), and if you want commercial success you have to speak the media's language to a certain degree, then you can do whatever the hell you want (regarding what Nigel said)...

dance itself is movement and exercise for the body... the more u can move in different ways will only make u versatile dancer..and thats why its important to be fit and athletic...ofcourse a sense of choreography and emotion has to be there...but ur body is ur tool..that needs to be sharp....and by the way ..this girl is not faaat!! really..her stomach area is not that outa shape..and her thighs and calves look strong...if she kept dancing she would get fit eventually...she is sweet though :)

@peanutmmss I don't think that's a stupid think to say at all. As a dancer, i'm not overweight, but my weight does fluctuate. Dancing, like any physical activity, increases my appetite A LOT. So if i decide to eat fatty foods all the time then I gain weight. Also, when i get a break from dance like winter break or if i'm not dancing as much because of summer break & eat fatty foods I will put weight easily. So it's probably just her diet and what she eats.

wow and wow, the first time i saw her dance i was so stunned by her moves and emotions. and i think Nigel hit the point, the commercial dance world always needs fine-bodied dancers which look good on tv or on stage. i wish she could get through the hard time and maybe, who knows, she might end up being successful as Mia Michaels
