I see the surgery to the right on this video. I just missed this. I left the area about 12 midday and by 1.30pm it was flooded like this. I believe it was caused by the flood plain which is next to the surgery and the becks overflowing at the same time?
i dont think it will be as bad,this time.well im hoping its not.westgate always gets it.you would have thought the council would have sorted it by now.westgate floods if we have a light shower!!!

I saw that from alverthorpe road. It was the most extreme example of the flooding I've seen first hand. I feel really sorry for the people in those houses. I just got 2 feet of water in the cellar. Quite lucky really.
that was my old mums flat.she was devastated.the water was nearly waist high in her living room etc.she had to waide through it to alverthorpe rd,shes in her seventies
Its worse for the oldies. They have served their time. They don't need more crap at their time of life. Hope there is some insurance to soften the blow.

Wow that's pretty harsh. The hair salon where i work at the bottom of Westgate was knee deep. Where supposed to have more flooding this weekend...

i live on the start of Thornes Rd as you head out of wakefield, the bridge always gets it proper bad there, fortunately only the cellar got flooded
