  • Delphi partnered with the Segway and now GM. These Segway guys must be the best marketing group in the world.... GM is in a no win battle. They build what people buy and people bitch about fuel economy. They build smaller cars and people bitch they are not building what people want....Let the market dictate what gets made... What is the market for this??? There are scooters and there are golf carts already. Who will buy this?

  • This project has obviously been in the works for some time, including the period before GM was given any extra money. Secondly, anyone who wants to comment on the 'safety' of this vehicle should read the commentary first. Thirdly, at least they are trying something new, which, for any large corporation, is very difficult to accomplish in less than three months. Fourth, this is a partnership with Segway so the costs and risks are being shared.

    I used to think Chapter 11 was the answer for GM. Now, I think it's time for GM to sink or swim in the market.
