  • Every Day is A Gift . Thank You .

  • A very special song written by a very, very special young Man. This song was almost not released by Davy because of what it meant to him, but then he realized that it should be shared with everyone. Thank goodness he did...I have benefited from it's healing effects myself when a very close friend, the brother I never had, passed away as a result of Leukemia. I encourage everyone to share this song with the ones that are important to you in your life...Roy

  • Such a beautiful song....There are very few songwriters out there that can write as well as Davy. Bravo!

  • My brother is gone, and often I wonder what we could have done differently as a family to avoid that tragic day. I think you can what if evey aspect of the day or choice that put him where he was the day he went to Heaven, But this song has made me cry because I too wish he could have stayed. Thanks for the song BDS.

  • Goosebumps. everytime. thats fucking raw emotion, and heart.

  • Those guys and some other few bands like Robert Randolph & Family Band are saving the word "music".

I hope they keep this outstanding work.

  • Over a year ago, I had a chat with my good friend Davy Knowles about several things. One of the items that came up was this song "Stay". That conversation shall remain private, but it really showed me the depth of this young man that we all have come to simply call Davy. His song writing skills and his skills as a performer are truly a gift to us all. I am very glad to call him my friend.

  • Anybody know what acoustic he plays here? I love the sound.

  • it's an older model (martin) maybe late 50's early 60's great sound, the guitarist/ singer (DAVY KNOWELS) is on his on now, PETER FRAMPTON is producing DAVY'S solo project as I type

  • ANyone know what kind of acoustic it is he plays? Looks like an it has an A on the headstock? Is it an Armstrong?

  • hey there,

I could be wrong, but I think that was his Avalon - that was a couple of years back tho and he mostly plays a J45 now. if you post any techie/muso questions on the Back Door Slam forum (there's a link on the website) he LOVES answering them - proper anorak, hehe ;-)

  • @TheDev01dOne I'm thinking Alvarez?

  • a truely gripping song

  • This song will always remind me of my friend who died in a bike accident on the Douglas-Peel road in December 2007 . 1989-2007 .

  • I'm sorry to hear that man :( They are some dangerous roads there..especially when bikes are involved. :(

  • was this song written, because your friend died?

Are you friends with the band?

  • No i live on the same island that they come from , ive seen them many a time . It was written about two of their friends who died in a car accident in the south of the island

  • yeah i went to school with them all.. it was a really sad time but the song sums it up sooo well

  • yup Davy wrote the song as 2 of our friends died in a car crash, one of whom was in the original line-up of BDS.
