nice work, i made one a year ago and have been using it a lot to power chargers and laptops etc, its really useful. I didnt think to put a variable voltage regulator in it. that would have been good, maybe i will do that for the next one i make.
i did think of the multimeter as a cheap voltage readout for another project, but i will definately add it to the next ps i make. infact i have a 12v power supply , i shoudl mod it to be regulated,
@TheLonghornEngineer Aww thanks Parker :) Hey was also thinking of maybe adding a switch to go between volts and amps. May have to re-wire the multimeter, would be pretty neat to have though :)
Damn those conductive paint scratches!! That looks awesome man. Between pinball machines and these kind of projects that look fun as hell I really need to learn some electronics crap! Awesome instructional vid, had no idea you could do those things.
@LoricElf Thanks Loric :) Yeah, not sure if it's a conductive paint or just a paint (grey) color backing so you can see the black digits, etc.. No worries ;) I'm still learning myself
@RetroGameTech Thanks Martin! Not sure about tidy lol ;) Have to get into the habbit of twisting some of my wires together/organizing them so it won't look like a spaghetti dinner hehe
@TheBladeJunker Hey Blade thanks for the comment :) There are some adjustable power adapters you can buy that have different selections for voltages and maybe changing polarities. Don't think there too expensive.
Thought it would be cool to try this, where you can dial in the voltage you need and see it on the LCD screen.
@TheDamoMonster Thanks Damo :) Definitely build one. If you have a AC to DC power supply laying around that has a transformer and rectifier circuit in it...will work great. If not find, find some type of AC transformer (Mine has a primary voltage of 120VAC and a Secondary voltage of 12.6VAC). After the rectifier circuit my DC volts is about 16.5VDC (it's rated at 12VDC, 3.4A).
Still trying to learn as I go...so may have some mistakes lol :)
@WorthyouruniverseHD Hey Danny, yeah seemed to be a lot of problems with YT this past weekend. I had to click on the YT logo 3-4 times just to have my subscription list show up.
Still like how they had it about a year ago where you could load your subscription page 20+ times...now maybe 2-3 times :/

@Bylga Thanks Bylga :) I may try and incorporate current/Amp readings using a switch

Really clean build! The idea of using a multimeter as a screen is inspired. Nice work as always man!

Very tidy little power supply. I really like it! Nice work. I could do with building one of these. Really handy thing to have.

I wish all power supplies had that option as you'd only need one. A very handy device to have, awesome. :)

Nice littel project,i would like to make/build one, really useful other projects :D
also think i have enough "electronic Junk" parts for it. ^^
Keep making all these nice videos.
