I have the live tape VHS (Hendring) of the Colombian Volcano Concert featuring 'Inner City Blues'. I can't get enough of it. A few years back I was even able to source audio from it to play in the car. Today I pulled out the VHS and watched the entire concert again. What a great concert, and an amazing in-between time for David Gilmour as well. This show will stay vaulted for future enjoyment.
Do you believe that Corinne Drewery will make a solo album?. If Corinne Drewery will become a solist vocalist in the further. What kind of music would she make?
I know that Corinne Drewery sang with Working Week before the official vocalist Julie Roberts. I want to know witch song did Corinne Drewery sing with Working Week in?. Forgive me for my bad English. I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Corrine sang with us after Julie Tippetts but before Juliet Roberts. She did some gigs around 1984 but she never recorded with us. She was very successful later with Swing Out Sister .
Hey Larry, what are the chances of you guys getting back together and doing a gig - or Alison coming out of "retirement" for a Weekend performance. I never had the chance to see you back in the day, and still dig out La Variete on a cool summer evening to accompany a cool glass of wine in the back garden!
Pretty slim I'd say -we're all busy doing other stuff -tho Simon and I and Juliet Roberts did a Working Week gig for Jazz Britannia a few years ago-I believe Alison is doing The Young Marble Giants
yeah i had the 12in and i have the CD with the extended version...with the cracking hammond organ start ...liking this kind of stuff in the 80's was not the norm...and i am glad i did like this & The Style Council ..Big Sound Authority etc etc ...this or Kajagoogoo...you choose !!!!
I bought this on 12" back in the day and love it still. That longer version was on their CD "Paycheck", not sure if it's still around but well worth getting if you can.
Not heard this is 20years when they appeared on The Tube. Julie Driscoll was someone I discovered when I had a mania for 60s music in my early teens. Julie had such an unusual voice for the time that it took me a bit by suprise as it has bit of punk delivery to it. I never tire of songs like Indian Rope Man, Road To Cairo and Season Of The Witch.
Have loved this since day one.
