beautiful. thank you. could you please let me know if have a personal website. I would like to contact you and ask a few questions about your Tar. who made your tar? did you buy it from Iran?
Dude I thought that I can play Tar but seems not. You have done it well. Well what else can I say. Keep it up. And by the way you have tuned your tar not like DO, Sol, DO. It sounds something different. I would be happy if you give me some clues where I can find this music notes.
This great magical music took me all the way back to Isfahan, good old times, your music comes from heart as always, great job, looking forward to see more.
I read the comic "Chicken with Plums" by the Iranian writer Marjane Satrapi, about a tar player in the 50s. Having finally looked it up on youtube to listen to what the tar sounds like I greatly enjoyed your performance, it was amazing.
I like that you've bought a gem from your culture to America.
Your playing is very strong and expressive... thanks for sharing.
A question: Is it traditional for tar players to use strictly the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers of the left hand? I noticed that Sahba Motalebi does not appear to ever use her 'little' / 4th finger (even for long stretches), and you seem to not use it either.

No. I just use regular picks, made of brittle brass or other brittle alloys. 45mm total length which 19 mm of it is uncovered with wax and touches the strings.

how nice it could be, once we all would leave room for all performers to be how they are. People are different, so let the styles be different. We have more than one color in this world as far as I have realized. Ostad Lotfi and others have a right to be what and how they are. Tolerance has always been a challange. cheers

You're right... it's just moving too fast for me to see it! Watching more carefully, I do see that it's definitely in service.
Thanks! - WA

I enjoy your music and have listened to it dozen times. My curiosity is from the title
"Testing my tar" is it testing the tar you have crafted? or testing your music skills? In either case the sound is very warm and affectionate.
