Hey scoutthedoggie, my family is in a tight spot with our money and I l LOVE airsoft, but like I said, I can't afford nice airsoft guns. So my question is: do do I have to use Brand-Name guns, or can I use generic guns?

@MattFvrt You could use "generic" guns, but you would definitely be better of with a "Name brand" gun. For example, you could buy a decent G&G Combat Machine M4, which is a decent gun that you can buy from any online airsoft store, that costs about $140.00, and you would be much better off.
