They had a minor hit in small town Georgia, USA with "Dream Away" and a big local radio hit with "She Ain't Pretty"...been a fan ever since. I just love this album. So diverse and rich with textures and lyrics.

Loved the Northern Pikes, great Canadian talents miss hearing them on the radio. In Windsor we are burdoned by American media so Northern Pikes are . . .not too often heard.

@BrunetTV Saw the Pikes for the first time in 1988 at Johnny Rockets and many times at Uof W and beyond. Plenty of great Canadian acts came thorugh Windsor in late 80s .

Man!!! This brings back memorys...We just loved the Pikes here in Washington D.C !!! They made me the song writter that i am today.......Funny how if you ask 20 people about the Pikes 20 people say WHO???? I just dont get why they were not huge ?

My brother was travelling in the US around the early 90s, and brought these bands and tunes to the UK.. This song and album, Human Radio's music and Michael Penn were introduced to me.. Fantastic!! Great songs. Marvellous lyrics, resonant... Thanks for posting..

I love this song. I never hear it much, One part of the lyrics that haunted me is "Green fields, where I fought when I was a soldier".. I was in the CF reserves at the time.
