i like this, how do you get a unit to go back and forth like this? It is exactly what I am looking for.

@TheCreativeclass Well, there is an Arduino board with my code controlling the steppermotorboard and thats how i could controll the movements on this. So, you will need PIC/Arduino etc, steppermotordriver and motor itself to get started. :)

But very nice. Add some roller bearings on bolts across the extrusion profile or something. :)
