But having lived in North Yorkshire and Teesside I can vouch that Boro is a great town with a fantastic football stadium, excellent ,humour, great history, surrounded by easily accessible gorgeous countryside, close to the lovely North Yorkshire coast, Cloughie, Revie, Captain Cook,.....the birthplace of world railways 2 miles away in Stockton, The Yorkshire Dales 45 minutes away......, affordable housing and beer......Lots to be proud of.
Ten years in the Marines i lived in Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Wales, Scotland and also went all over the world, and i always liked it in Middlesbrough. I can only presume that the people who voted for the Boro as a terrible place have never actually visited the place.

I've been told by many football fans that middlesborough is the biggest shithole they have been to, and thats the reason why their football team cant attarct any real decent players.

true true,you can say alot of things about middlesbrough. the industry is unfortunatly abit of an eyesore in places, and maybe some aspects of middlesbrough aren't great, but i say a big fuck you to anyone who has never been here and slate's it. one of the best things about middlesbrough is the people, apparently we live in 'the worst' part of the country, with high drug and crime rates. yet how many stabbings and shootings do ya get around here. ever seen or heard of a drive by here.
