major feature of "speed" nerf was reduction on web efficiency and missile damage over moving targets - more speed nerfs like this one please :)

Yeah, I wish I could have zero reading comprehension too.

The speed nerf was the cumulative stacking penalty of any and all mods that affected the overall speed or agility of a ship.

So before when 3 nanos and 3 OD's could get you going pretty quickly, because they were only stacking against themselves, they now counted as an overall stack of 6. If you threw poly's in there that was 9. Essentially rendering a large number of mods on a ship useless.

so does new stacking make them fly twice slower ? because now webs have like 50% of their previous efficiency. Without web on them nano-fag is as untouchable as it was before, with web it is now faster. I would call it a boost. Oh, and don't try to remind my about 2point scram, that is no solution - either I sacrifice another med slot or switch with disruptor and end up with shitty range point.

Hell there are plenty of nanomachariels that are perfect good on battleclinic and many other speedtanking loadouts. In 0.0 about 80% of the ships I see are speedtanked. TBH it's had very little effect, you just don't know how to fit the ship with the new stack.

EVE should be balanced intelligently, like Starcraft, for example, by having VERY different racial playstyles and a rock-paper-scissors principle... NOT by having cloned ship classes across all races... The differences should be profound, not superfiicial...

but I guess such balancing is impossile in a game with SO MANY ship classes and fitting options. It would be too unpredictable...

The speed nerf/nano nerf refers to c hanges CCP made to the speed and agility of ships, and the bonuses or nanofibre structures. Before, nano's gave much bigger and more bonuses, meaning you had ships flying at 10km+, and being nearly impossible to hit , and I suppose the raven was most vulnerable from what this video suggests.

High speed was used to avoid nearly ALL damage types and tactics. Only balanced by ship cost and lag. hahaha

The people who specialize in this form of "cheating" call it a nerf. It's really a balancing, because now Caldari can't wipe the field of skirmish frigs anymore with heavy missiles. \o/ Enyo is king.

In an ideal situation with everybody already on top of the nano ship then yes he'd blow up because of all the webs. But you know this is not the case. In that nano ships always come in at range and only engage if they know they can win. The few ships that are fast enough to catch them are easily blown up before heavier/slower ships can help them. And the heavier ships can not catch said nano ship and he flies away unscratched. That's the reality of it. Or was I should say.
