  • Oh god is Michael Caine is dynamite.

  • Hah i love british ppl

  • My production company made a sitcom pilot that was inspired so strongly be The Trip. I would love for people to check it out (not in a YouTube spammy way - if you don't want to see it, that's fine). I would like to think it's very slightly above average (arrogant). Check my channel. It's called Clive - Episode 1.

  • once i heard the woody allen impression i was sold.

  • So it's My Dinner with Andre but with impressions and sex jokes. Hmmm. Sounds . Awesome.

  • hahahahahahahahahaha!!!! steve coogan is the bomb yo!

  • yes it is. it stars Steve Coogan, he did knowing me knowing you.

  • Is this a fan made trailer? 'cos this is not a film.

  • @hippertydog it's a film mate.

  • @MrBlooRay I realise now that the original series was shown in other countries as a film. It originally is a six part series made by the BBC shown in the UK, that is what confused me.

  • even trailer bored me ......

  • looks like the british version of the movie sideways

  • @saltedswine but this funny and didn't stray too far into darkness

  • I can't even put on a smirk

  • Hang on.. this was on bbc as a series not so long ago

  • British comedy....priceless

  • really entertaining movie, had a good laugh as it's kind of a movie in a movie.

  • @sher1412 this isn't 4chan, nerd

  • @555hugs >implying going on 4chan makes you a nerd.

  • waste of time!! avoid!!

  • Why is it that Europeans just suck at making movies? I mean really, the only thing that is a success is Harry Potter and that sucks. Why is it they just can't make funny movies? Action? Comedy? Anything...?

  • @DBlockn05 Actually, Europeans make great movies. I can really only comment on Britain though. Yes we do not have many big films. But those that we do have are great. For example: The King's Speech, 28 Days Later, pretty much anything with Michael Cain and most James Bond movies. There are also indie movies like Lucky Break. As for the rest of Europe I can't say much. There was that French film "the illusionist" which did well at the Oscars and then "Rec" which is one of the best horrors ever.

  • @iamGridLoC Hmm, I see, thanks for the input.

  • @iamGridLoC Of Gods and Men was very well done too, but I believe it was a French film.

  • @DBlockn05 They have better things to do? We have Hollywood and they don't? Idk they have the occasional great movie though

  • @DBlockn05 Are you five or just uncultured?

  • @DBlockn05 Sadly, America hasn't had good cinema in about 10 years. What has been half-decent has all been ripped offs of foreign films.

  • Great trailer, but the show is better.

  • Re-edited from the three-hour TV show? (sigh). Annoying when they did it to Das Boot, annoying now.

  • She was only 16 years old! omfg that bit was hysterical

  • who is this rob brydon and why don't I know about him more?

  • A sequel to Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story?

    Never saw this one coming...

    ...should be interesting.

  • very funny. try to watch the full series insted of the edited, movie version.

  • it sounds like a funny movie...I dont know much about Rob , but Coogan always cracks me up..going 2 c it

  • Margot Stilley. We saw ALL OF HER in 9 Songs. ALL. OF. HER.

  • Best Michael Caine impersonation ever!

  • what is the music?????????????????

  • @ricklidster ' In the hall of the mountain king' by Greig, I think. (From Peer Gynt??)

  • this is comedy? couldn't even watch this if I was high

  • @zdiiriye

It's comedy for intelligent people. If you don't get it then that's no reason for anyone to look down on you. People like what they like/

  • @1878EFC2008 I wrote that 2 months ago freak!

  • @zdiiriye

    And?

  • @1878EFC2008 I guess you're just more fucking retarded than I initial thought

  • @zdiiriye

You've become more intelligent in the last two months?

    Congratulations.

  • @1878EFC2008 *Yawn* Get a life!

  • is this the series edited together ? and put out as a comedy film

  • 'everything is exhausting past 40'

  • love Coogan and Brydon, so I dug it. It's just the mini series pared down into a feature, but thats not a bad thing.

  • 106 people weren't aware she was only 16 years old

  • Awwwwwww... BROMANCE!!!

  • The Trip : Around the World in 8 days.

  • lol they shoulda thrown in some Christopher Walken

  • Were they copying Jeremy Clarkson at 0:58 lol

  • So the main thing that's meant to make this movie funny is two guys just doing a list of impressions... I'm electrified.

  • @hazaraku No, that's not what's funny about it. Have you ever had hilarious banter with your friends? That you can't talk about to other people because it was all "had to be there" kinda stuff? There's a lot of that, and it is SO funny. If you don't like the sort of understated, subdued brit humour like quick, sarcastic quips and squabbling then you won't like it. It also helps to be fairly familiar with the actors' bodies of work because there is a lot of reference to that.

  • @gregkrazanski If I want "hilarious banter with your friends? That you can't talk about to other people because it was all "had to be there" kinda stuff?" I'll just meet up with my mates in a bar rather than going to a cinema, I'm afraid." Also I don't quite think you can call what we're shown here "understated, subdued brit humour like quick, sarcastic quips and squabbling", except for the "squabbling" bit.

  • @hazaraku Haha, fair enough, but what's wrong with having that with your friends AND seeing it in a movie? And what I meant is that they don't show a lot of those quieter moments in this trailer. But hey I get it, people have different tastes, no big deal. I just think the trailer isn't so representative (as many aren't).
