Nice job....you had alotta cool shots in there.....the sequence where it goes from the POV through the mask, to the doorknob, to the guy's shoes i thought was really good....wasn't too crazy about the music choice when she runs up the stairs....overall i thought it was very well shot, but the plot could have used a little more work..i didn't really like the fact that the guy just suddenly appeared behind her in the bathtub...but well done and best of luck!
cute 'talent' though, I'll probably touch myself to it later.
note: (i'm not trying to be a jerk, but you did ask for my opinion. although critique of your work may seem harsh and abrasive, it will only help you improve.)
@JosephJosefJozef there is nothing pathetic at all about this video. This video was comprised based solely on it's shots and it definitely delivers. The story is shit. I knew that the instant I conceived it, I just knew that I could bring it to life in a way that others cannot. If you really had any idea what you were talking about you would see that this is an awesome PORTFOLIO film. That is a film that that any director starts out with. not a 30 million dollar movie.
Wow. haahaa. I'll try my best to remain civil in my response. I'm not sure what your level of reading comprehension is, but if you take a close look at my previous comment, I was simply trying to help you improve your work. Which of course means, I want to see you succeed. I'm on your side. Although my critique may have seemed rather brash, it will only enhance your work in the future.
Now, suppose you do get into one of the schools you've applied to...are you going to act this defensive towards your teacher or fellow classmates who (although likely worded differently) may be saying the same thing about your work?
And it's very dangerous for you to make the assumptions you have regarding my credentials. Perhaps I'm an established filmmaker, an industry figure, or maybe even a professor at one of the schools you hope to attend? Practice caution in the future.
@JosephJosefJozef Anything and everything you have to say is nullified due to the comments you made online about masturbating to my girlfriend. Your obviously some fat, cheese-stuck in your beard truck driver who dreams of being behind the camera. No one in the industry with any worthwhile credentials would dream of posting something so disgusting on a students youtube channel for the world to see. You are a scum bag and your mother would be ashamed of you.
Well, regardless of your acceptance, I would like to apologize for the comments I made yesterday. It was inappropriate and rude to say such things, and regardless of my opinion regarding your film, my comments lacked tact and taste.
Now, haaaahaaaa, in regards to your assumptions about myself, I'm actually a freshman in college, who, potentially, may be seated next to you fall semester 2011 in one of the film programs you've applied to. What a twist of irony that would be...
@JosephJosefJozef and next time you feel like laying down some "constructive" criticism, why don't you attempt to even make a film cause as of right now you have nothing to show for it. Your only talent is trying to diminish the hopes and dreams of people in order to make yourself feel better. You my friend are pathetic, and your never going to amount to anything. Enjoy your self-absorbed life asshole.
@JosephJosefJozef Your critique consisted of you talking about touching yourself to the image of my girlfriend. Why don't you actually give me some real "criticism". Why is it pathetic? Why is it tired? Critiques aren't one word sentences. As a director I have done my job by giving you a story with a beginning middle and end but now as a film critic, you have sputtered out single words without backing up any of them. Your not enhancing anything nor anyone, just stop.
