@kalabanT It is the job of the pad holder in muay thai to not only be as stiff as possible while holding the pads, but the snap the pads downward right before impact. What benefit would there be for the kicker if the pad holder was falling over and flailing his arms around like an idiot? I did muay thai for 3 years, and trust me those are powerful kicks.

If you used to train muaythai, you'll see that the muaythai fighter can kick with both the nice, the fast and the powerful ability. Muaythai is one of the great-kick-martial-art of the world. You can't say it's weak with no definite evidence.

@kingstaffy me too, my muaythai teacher , he used to be nak-muaythai, now he's 65 but he always hold pads for foreigners and Thai students, some are same his size, like me, but some are twice his size. He can do it everyday. if @kalabanT didn't go to hold the pads himself, I think he wouldn't know how powerful the muaythai's weapons are, and how strong the muaythai trainers are. (Most of them used to be nak-muaythai, so they're definitely stronger than normal people)
