There is a tab that sits below the top of the tank several inches. If you fill to that level you have 17 gallons, and if you fill the tank to the top, you have 24 gallons usable fuel.
The Piper Archer consumes 10-12 gallons an hour. If 11 + 11 = 22 gallons. That is bear minimum fuel for 2 hours , not factoring wind conditions. You said 17 gallons is enough for 2. go study some manuals and get your CFI currency.
you mean 100LL...... meaning the fuel has lead in it. There is a difference between 100 and 100LL
