Tell me my rights. What's the charge. Lol fucking idiot. Gosh I just wanna punch him in the face. He doesn't need to read u Miranda rights. U can be arrested and not be questioned retard. If you really knew the law like some of these protestors claim to know ( somehow they all have law degrees) ur rights would only apply with two circumstances. One right is to shut the fuck up.
police doesn't have to read your rights as soon as they arrest you. It's anytime before you are being interrogated. If you're going to be a protester and start shit make sure you know the basics of the law too.
To the person who recorded and posted this, why don't you have the guts to show the whole incident instead of conveniently editing from the point where he gets thrown to the ground. I have been to these kind of protests, the police always give ample warning, so much so that people get comfortable and start taunting them, and when the cops act, the people turn around and act like victims. By the way, it's funny to see in LA minority cops arrest a white guy and then the white guy cries foul. LOL
The admonition of Miranda has nothing to do with an arrest or a use of force against the person being arrested. The cop slammed the guy because the law allows the police to use force that is objectively reasonable to overcome the resistance of the arrestee. If the guy didnt want to be slammed he should have submitted to the arrest, got his little ticket for the protest and jumpped back into it.
Charged with disturbing the peace, inciting a riot, failure to disperse, being a complete moron and having the mental aptitude of a lima bean. Once he gets out of jail, he needs to have mom and dad beat some sense, smarts and respect into his stupid ass. Pompous Prick!!!
I just uploaded the new video of the 12-03-11 march and scuffle with police as a video response to this video: "Occupy LA (Wall Street) - LAPD police scuffle with marchers and arrest protester - 12-03-2011"
Well thats your business l suppose, and as long as you have the decency of a cat to bury your excretory stools l wouldn't object your behaviour, anyhow thanks for sharing your lifestyle publicly on Youtube pet.
@suedeheadize Pet? you aparently don't speak sarcasm judging by your dry british sense of humor...My point was to poke fun at the crackhead whose "arse" was being beaten by the LAPD for the last nine years...
I just finished uploading the 27 minute mini documentary in HD to Youtube about what my eyes and camera saw on Nov 11, 2011 during the Occupy LA protests and LAPD arrest... Thank you for sharing it with others (See the video response that I posted to this video, or find it in my Youtube page).
Hello Everyone... I am finished editing a 27 minute mini documentary using the footage that I shot the night of the Occupy LA eviction, protests and arrests. I will upload the Occupy LA mini documentary and share it as soon as I can, and will post a link to it here. I want to share what my camera and eyes saw with everyone who could not be there.
These occupiers think they represent the 99%. Funny. Truth is they would be lucky to meet 0.0065% of the population (that's a real number). They need to give up, because they really are nothing but a bunch of bums and attention whores.
It is a big myth that officers have to "read you your rights" before arresting you. That's not true. Miranda rights must be issued only when legal authorities intend to question or interrogate you about a crime. The fact is that these people were issued orders to disperse several times...up to an including 48+ hours prior. Well over half of the people who were there at the camp had long left 2 days prior when the initial order was issued. He knew exactly why he was being arrested.
@marianharmon thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think that an important question is do police have the right to arbitrarily restrict free assembly and expression of free speech, as long as it is done so legally according to statute. Arbitrary subjective decisions about what is lawful or permitted, can lead to abuse and an unconstitutional suppression of rights.
To add insult to injury, these pigs get paid like BANDITS. That'll change, though. After we've toppled the Plutocrats, these cops will be making minimum wage, working a the dump.
@jimithingjames Yeah I figured you had no clue what you were talking about, and I was questioning your intelligence, which you obviously don't have. Maybe next time you should research before you hate on YouTube, then maybe you won't look like a dumbass.
PERF & DHS. Welcome to a police state. It can happen to NE1 4 any reason. The tear gas, pepper spray, rubber bullets, and I believe LRAD are all made right here in the US. Reminds me of 1933 Germany, while 1/2 the people starved the others prepared the war machine. I have police officers in my family & voted for them to keep their collective bargaining rights only 2 see many videos of extreme violence against unarmed citizens. They protect the Banks & WS who stole their pensions, not the ppl.
@Conekillah I don't know of anyone who is protesting peacefully, or resisting peacefully, deserves to be thrown hard against the ground. There must have been another way to arrest him, if that was the police officer's choice.
I guess that the police don't have to read your rights until after they beat you down. Or is it while they slam you down, or is when they are backing a corrupt group like ALEC and removing free speech, or is it if they feel like it they can read your rights after they shoot you, hard one here. End Police Brutality. throwing someone down on the ground than telling them they have rights is kind of contradictive to Miranda's ruling and human rights.
@DownHomeAmerican Actually they do read your rights before they "beat you down". The problem with this video is they don't show the transient talking out of his ass to the police before they arrest him. Do you even know how they trained LAPD to deal with this absurd mess? I do. You don't. Check your facts before you start talking out of your ass.
@p91fun Listen buddy, why don't you go down to your local Occupy shindig (unless it doesn't exist or the police shut it down) and rape a couple of girls. I hear you guys are into that shit.
@vidaliasweet Hi Vida... I spoke with the second man later, and he told me that he was upset because police officers shot an innocent man in the back, right in front of him. This was his opportunity to voice his frustration.
@muunet Hi muunet... you mean the second man standing and shouting at police after the first man was arrested... the first protester being arrested was very clear.
Why are these occutards so against corporate greed? I am a lonely man I need to get screwed as much as possible! Go Police State, Go Corrupt Government, Go Big Bankers screw away. Yeah who's with me? Get rid of these occutards and lets all get screwed!
