Beautifully done, though, for my personal taste, I would have left the Wllie G skull fuel cap in its standard chrome, as it would have really stood out, and emphasised how black the bike is, if you take my point. I also think smoking the indicator lenses is suicidal when it comes to being visible to moronic car drivers. Minor concerns, and down to personal taste- thats the joy of a Hog, no two are the same ;-) Safe riding to you.
I would not recommend this bike for long trips. There is plenty of larger bikes which come with storage bags. If your ur taking day trips it would not be too bad tho. I think this is a good city bike tho.
Would either of you guys recommend this bike for long trips on highways, I will be traveling from Ontario to British Columbia next summer, would this be a comfortable bike to do a really long trip like that on?? TheTommorrow1982... do you live in Canada? If you do, where?
well thats 100km/h not 100mph its gonna be 60mph=100km/h. and I went to Harley Davidson website and compare the two bikes ( 2010 and 2011 models) the numbers for overall gear ratio are as follows:
2011 model 2010 model
1st=10.407 1st=9.005
2nd=7.436 2nd=6.434
3rd=5.53 3rd=4.705
4th=4.583 4th=3.96
5th=3.93 5th=3.4
and I don't know why Harley Davidson did this on 2011 models which really straggling to get to 60mph.
09-11 are the same bike. I have gone 90mph and it seemed as if the bike was reving really high also. I dont think this bike is suppose to be going 100mph its more of a bar hopper. I had sports bikes and I choose the Iron because I wanted to enjoy the ride not see it in a blur as a did at 140mph.
Nice bike, I have 2011 one with screaming eagle pipes. just one problem with irons I found so far is, when I am doing 100km/h in high way looks like she needs 6th gear the engine really revs up to do just 100km/h, I am wondering if you find the same thing in you one or because mine is 2011 they have different gear ratio.

how does the bike run with the stage 1 download opposed to a Screaming Eagle Super Tuner that is tuned. Does it pop, run hot, good gas mileage?

You can put the black mirror caps on from the 48. They look pretty good, I think they were $10 at the dealer.

I live in Australia, It is not a bike for really long trips. if you want to do so go with the bigger bikes with 6th gear as well.
