I was forced to retire and start drawing Social Security early because no one would hire a 64 year old college graduate with 40 years of stable Human Resources experience in fortune 500 companies. I am healthy and could easily work into by 70s........but due to unemployment I must draw on Social Security early.

I just read all of your stories. I feel terrible for everyone in this video that is looking for work and down on their luck, except for the many people with facial piercings. You can't expect to get hired somewhere, despite your degree and talent, with shit hanging out of your face. If you're serious about finding work, try to look like it. To those of you who lost your job years ago but have babies on the way... are you insane? If you can't afford you, don't have a child! That's just sick.

I just lost one of my subcontracting jobs and now live on $800 per month. The scary thing is I was with this job for 7 months and the previous one for 4 years. I stay with jobs and work hard but when I am no longer needed I am just dismissed.
The heartless witch who cancelled my contract knew I was moving and needed to make extra money. In fact because I was not making enough it pushed back my move. I am not sure what i am going to do now. I empathize with the people in the video.

...but yes, relative poverty within our borders should be eliminated too, but not so much so. The amounts people in this video live on could still feed between roughly 5-10 people from the most needy areas of the world.
