  • ANONONOMNOMNOM ANOMNOMNONNOM!

  • wow chill out ya'll OCELOTS worth 1,500$ in the US and that's a really beautiful cat..

  • Except the Ashera is hypoallergenic for people with allergies. derp

  • @IMAdaniel Ashera is a scam. "hypoallergenic" part has never been independently verified, it's just another of Simon Brodie's claims. Before Ashera he was selling Allerca that he claimed were hypoallergenic. Some people paid money and never got kittens, some got kittens and still sneezed. Sure, some people were pleased but then one can be less allergic to one cat and not the other. Google "murky background of Ashera and Allerca".

  • wtf if it were a wolf wed not have problems

  • it's not ashera it's chimera.

  • hahhahaha!! the growl literally sounds lyk nyan-nyan-nyan-nyan xDDDD

  • thats like having a pitbull around youre kids and saying "no he will never hurt my kids" yea next thing you know youre kids are in the hospital. and then you say "oh i cant bealive this happen"

  • @WARGIRLWARGIRL Savannnah cats have been around for a couple of decades and registered with TICA since 2000. I've not read of "savannah cat attacks", have you? This is a scam, the top rated comment above tells it's a scam, and people still believe in it.

  • One of the differences guys, was just noting some questions, is they are also hypoallergenic, meaning someone with cat dander "which is not cat hair like alot of people think" as the allergen, wouldn't be a factor with the Ashera. I've never interacted with one, so I could not say whether it was safe or what not, seems pretty neat though.

  • @Coads301 The "Hypoallergenic" bit is just an unproven claim of a scam artist. Google "Murky background of Ashera and Allerca" for a complete lists of failed businesses and scams by a guy who sells "Ashera". Some cats are more allergenic than others, some Savannah cats are less allergenic some more. Some Siberian cats have naturally less protein that causes most allergies and Siberians cost $500 and people can visit before getting them. DNA tests proved that Ashera is Savannah.

  • I like how the Human guy is all like "oh why take the risk?" but yet hes in office and while hes worrying about us breeding exotic's with animals who are domestic to suit the consumer and keep them from getting mauled. compared to stem cells or something i don't know...more important.

  • @vaultmiamoto000 Sorry, I misunderstood your comment, just deleted my reply.

  • Longcat!

  • 2:15 i like how she just drops the cat bahaha

  • Nom Nom Nom!!!!!

  • whats wrong with a normal cat?

  • michael macherean has nothing to do in life but hate on new pets hahahah

  • this is dumb lmao.

  • cuuute growl

  • He'll only get this price until people start breeding them, then he won't have a corner on the market. THAT is when the price range will reflect the market.

  • @Alicynx People have been breeding them for a couple of decades. This is a savannah cat, google "ashera cat scam". Savannah cats have been registered with TICA for 10 years. A breeder said this looks like an F2 savannah, so it's real price is $3500-5000 (but as this one comes without pedigree, it's not worth that much). With each subsequent generation price drops. F5 and after that are about as much as any pedigreed cat, but they are smaller and look less exotic.

  • It is cross between three cats I know mine was 48% serval 33% asian leopard cat and 28% Ocicat.

  • @tylerboy247 Ashera is a scam. DNA tests proved it's the same as a Savannah. BTW - Asheras that were tested, turned out to be Serval-Egyptian Mau hybrids, no Asian Leopard Cat blood in them. As to your cat percentages, it'd be interesting if you could explain how they managed to get these numbers e.g. what was bred to what. You do realize that they don't add up to 100% right?

  • It's been proven by DNA that the Ashera cat is the same as Savannah cat

  • Their meow is so cute!

  • nom nom nom

  • This Simon Brodie(now Simon Carradan) is a scam artist. He is trying to sell $15,000+ Skis!! Don't get scammed by this person!

  • @janinedavis1 Don't forget TITAN-Family Protector Dog. A supposedly super-trained German Shepherd for $80,000.

  • To the bald guy not liking the cats, first of course it is safe, even being big for a cat, its still quite a small animal and should not pose a threat to anything else than what a regular cat would pose a threat to. Also, what are the long term effects? You got to remember that housecats, and dogs also started out as wild animals. Very bad arguments mr. Michael mc-something.

  • @brutsi Remember also that this is actually a Savannah cat, and savannahs have been around for probably 20-years - I remember reading about them in the now-closed "Cats" magazine in the 90s; and that they've been registered with TICA for over 10 years. They've been a regular "feature" at our local yearly TICA cat show, once they've even brought a Serval and did a little presentation on Savannahs. As to long term, bengals - another hybrid is pretty old.

  • While I can understand the concern of the Human Society guy, he shouldn't use cliches and platitudes to try and back up his argument. It just doesn't help.

  • "Dangerous"?! My siamese is more dangerous than my savannah! lol

  • SHUT UP BALDIE

    NO ONE WANTS TO KNOW

I'd say sick the kitty on him.

  • hahaha that woman got SCAMMED

  • The Humane Society guy is either a propagandist against animal breeding or a fool. Does he think domesticated cats naturally evolved to be tame? How about domestic dogs? Does he think the poodle or Chihuahua evolved on their own? You absolutely can "take the jungle out of the cat" and I've got a house cat to prove it. And as for Savannahs being dangerous, please anyone cite a case in the medical literature of a person being mauled by one. As far as I know no mauling has ever been reported.

  • This isn't an old idea. The Ashera might by a unique breed, but domesticating wild cats and making hybrids between big cats and house cats is thousands of years old. Egyptians domesticated what we now call the "domestic cat" as well as made pets of Caracals and Servals, and interbred them all. the Savannah may have been recently recreated, but they existed thousands of years ago.

  • @mazerrackham001 "Ashera" is NOT a breed AT ALL. Ashera is a total scam, it's been proven by DNA tests to be a Savannah cat resold for several times the price by a guy with a criminal record and a history of similar scams. He also sells "Titan family protector dog" - a German Shepherd for $80,000. A fool and his money...

  • what is the diffience between a Savannah Cat and a Ashera???????????????????

  • @thaiikid asheras its fake name

  • @1babachicken Only the price. Also Savannah cats are sold with papers an pedigree, Ashera is unregistered, undocumented Savannah sold by a guy with criminal record and history of similar scams.

  • @jewelmarkess i know that i say its is fake name for short :/

  • @thaiikid A Savannah cat is a mix between a Serval and house cat. An Ashera is a mix between an Asian Leopard, Serval, and House cat.

  • @mazerrackham001 NO. Ashera is A SCAM. Read wiki article on Ashera, also google for "murky background of Ashera and Allerca" or just "Ashera cat scam". This is a Savannah cat resold at a huge mark up. As to leopard, are you serious? How do you see a cat carry leopard cubs to terms or the other way around? The reporter meant Asian Leopard Cat which is just another way of saying that Bengal cats were mated to Servals or F1 savannahs which is true for many Savannah cats.

  • @jewelmarkess Easy tiger, I'm not the guy selling these cats. I actually only meant to reiterate what an Ashera was claimed to be in the video, to a person specifically asking what the difference supposedly was. Yes, they are definitely just a Savannah breed serval hybrid. Yes this is a scam operation. No, I didn't make that clear, but with a dozen other people acting like broken records about it already, I figured I was covered.

  • @mazerrackham001 Sorry, I misenterpreted you comment, but it was confusing to those who don't know. I agree I sound like broken record, but it seems like people who come here still don't get it. There are dozen or more comments from different people saying that this is a scam, yet new people come in, and make comments clearly *believing* the video. I don't really understand why.

  • @jewelmarkess Yeah I didn't do my message justice. I was awkward and even accidentally said Ashera instead of Savannah on one occasion. I thought one thing and wrote another, but fortunately I said Savannah enough times that context clues made it possible to understand what I was saying...difficult, but possible. I can definitely see how someone could take away a totally different message than I intended, and that's my fault, not the readers so thanks for making me clarify.

  • The ashera cat is actually a total scam, it was proven the ashera is really a savannah cat.

  • @TsumaranaiKahTay duh its a cross with three cats domestic serval and african leopard. not a scam its just a savannah with another bloodline. how do u think we got some of the dogs we got today multiple breeding with random dogs.

  • @IFIXUR360 Since it is a savannah cat sold under wrong pretenses and for several times the price, it is a scam. As to another bloodline, the DNA tests on some of these cats proved them to be exactlly the savannah cats bought from a specific savannah breeder and resold at multiple times the price. Not to mention that the guy who is selling them was in prison for fraud andhas long history of similar businesses like dog rental, Titan Family Protector dog, allerca, 19,000 skis, etc.

  • @TsumaranaiKahTay iv been reading up on this scam and it sounds like no one has even gotten a cat at all

  • Comment removed

  • What a scam just buy a savannah you'll get the same cat for $17,000 cheaper.

  • When im rich i plan to buy a couple of these cat and have them made a little safari playground or something

  • @peggyninja You missed the comments that stated this "breed" is a scam...

  • The cat is beeeeeautiful! Michael Markarian of the Humane Society says in the same breath that the cats are not safe and they we don't know enough to know if they are safe....okay...he also calls the cats "Frankenstein hybrids" - a tough critique from an attention whore who says yes/no and looks like Uncle Fester.

  • @platosrational Savannah cats existed since 2001, and I haven't heard of any "savannah cat attack". Bengal cats - another wild-domestic hybrid existed for over 20 years; so I don't see how he can say these cats aren't safe. Now this cat is likely an F2 savannah ("ashera" is a scam, it's a savannah), and F1 or F2 cats are as I read still wild and not for everyone. I read that they get attached to one person and aren't rehomed well, so I hope this family keeps this cat.

  • in 15 years you will be able to get one for half a k

  • @wedingo You can easily get it sooner. Did you miss all the comments explaining that the breed is a total scam. The reporters today don't do any research at all, they just as gullible as anybody. This is a Savannah cat, not a cheap breed but a whole lot less expensive than that. Brodie has a history of fraud, failed businesses and similar scams. He was even in prison for fraud. He's now changed his name to Simon Karradan and is selling skis for $19,000.

  • Aside from the fact that asheras are a complete scam, he said "I think it's the nearest anybody can come to owning a really exotic cat". At 22k I'd be willing to bet you could get an actual leopard kitten for less than that. And then that dumbass from the H$U$, "You can take the cat out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the cat" uhhh yeah you can, that's kinda how we domesticated the cat and dog in the first place.

  • i want to know if the ashera is an f1 cat or not??

  • @vampyress83 Google for "ashera cat scam", it'll tell you everything you want to know. In a nutshell - ashera is a scam. It's been genetically proven to be an F1 or F2 savannah cat bought from a savannah breeder and resold at a several times the price. What I can't believe is that the reporter here didn't bother to do her research, the reports of this being a scam has been on the web for over 2 years.

  • @vampyress83 More likely an F2. I thought it was an F1 savannah bought from a breeder and re-sold, but from what I read on a savannah breeders say, it looks more like a badly bred F2 savannah. I also read Brodie bought F1 savannahs from a breeder. So rather than re-selling F1s, he probably breeds them to god-knows-what (maybe strays for all we know) then sells kittens for 22K. F2 savannahs go for $3500-5000, but this is for pedigreed cats while this one is undocumented. It's a complete scam.

  • allah is beautiful to create somthing like this

    i love allah

  • @nouraSaramida i love Allah too!

    Allahu Akbar!

  • @nouraSaramida

i do not agree with this , a cat should be a cat ! :-)

  • @grantourismo0109

true a cat is a cat , a sea is a sea but all of them is allah creatures just take few second to think how wonderful complicated are they!! and u will see the ability of allah <3

  • @nouraSaramida

i just dun like the idea of breeding a cat and sale it for profit

    kinda disrespect life to me

I would be happy to see if people adopt a pet from animal shelter

anyway may allah be with you brother noura :)

  • @grantourismo0109 thank u <3

    and im female =D

  • @nouraSaramida ok sister noura -,-

  • "I really want to go out to dinner, but I'm still paying off my cat loan."

    "You mean your car loan?"

    "No, my cat loan."

  • The price tag stems from the genetic/reproductive engineering in getting the cat to be the hybrid that it is....

I like the "nomnomnom" sound it makes ^_^

  • @desu2u Google for "ashera-savannah" controversy. The price tag comes from a scam not genetic engineering. According to the wiki and other articles, nobody has proven the authenticity of this breed, and DNA tests on some of them proved they are savannahs that are many times cheaper than this.

  • "eating your childrens...friends"..epic

  • First off, this guy has a history and record of being a fraud, he's been busted for trying to pawn off 2 savannahs as "Asheras". Second off, 1st and second generation Savannahs commonly grow to be 25lbs and the largest domesticated cat as verified by the Guiness book of world records is a Savannah, not an Ashera. Also, while savannahs do come with different markings on some. A majority as well as the prized ones appear similar to the servals with EXACTLY the same markings. This guy is a fraud.

  • The "Ashera" is a SCAM. They are really called Savannahs and are widely bred and they don't cost 22,000 dollars. The most a generation 1 Savannah should ever run you is 10 grand and you can get one for MUCH cheaper than that. Also, they have been bred since 1985 and are safe as pets, that humane shelter guy is an idiot. Even the wild cat they are bred with, the serval, is kept as a pet and poses little threat to humans. It's not like having a lion in your house.

  • @mbr05c The markings are decidedly different and the average Savannah doesn't reach >20 lbs and ~4 ft. in height. While the Ashera breed draws from similar stock (Servals and domesticated cats), the addition of the leopard genetics may be the reason for the increased size and price tag.

  • @MrBoboFace They did DNA test and it turned out that they indeed are savannahs. Also it's not "leopard genetics" it's asian leopard cat (small asian wildcat) genetics. Bengal is a cross between asian leopard cat and domestic, and first savannahs came from Serval-Bengal crosses, I believe. So savannahs do have both serval genes and asian leopard cat genes...

  • Make that Bold guy in this video shaut up

  • give it a few years and it will soon be around $500.

  • lol asian leopard.......cat

  • i agree with micheal on this vid.

  • 3

you know what? nothing against these animals cuz its not the animals fault but I DESPISE the fact that people would even dream of getting one of these. Why? Do they even realize how many cats every year gets put down in shelters, abused or abandoned because people do not want them anymore? $22 000 would help a lot of these poor animals, and should not go towards buying a SINGLE ashera cat. screw this.

  • I guess life does have a price once you take the role of god!

  • @elliottvillanueva The farmers and ranchers do the same thing, but people don't say that they are playing god. Cross-breeding has been around for eons, and is the reason for the creation of the yellow dessert banana, the domestic dog/cat, the cow, and America's fat-fat-egg-stuffed chickens.

Genetic engineering is only called "playing god" as a scare-tactic. We've done this so long and so extensively that now it's just a matter of the scale.

  • They're gorgeous but their meow is *annoying*; it's so nasally compared to normal cats.

  • Ashera is a name used by Simon Brodie to identify the Savannah cat we all have heard of....they are the same cat. Simon Brodie is a con artist and is just looking to make money off dumb rich people willing to pay 22k for a cat that is falsely advertised. SMART INVESTMENT! Lets not donate to charity or pick up a stray cat that really needs love.... lets by a super rare breed so we can gaunt at all the people with normal tabby cats. This is the most ridiculous garbage I've ever seen. Die Simon.

  • 22K times 100 Asheras a year equals a big ass paycheck for this dude!

  • 2:23 did she just drop the cat!? cause it didnt look like it jumped....

  • 2:23 did she just drop the cat!? cause it didnt look like it jumped....

  • why take that risk shut the fuck up that guy is a fag. stay yo ass in bed all day with an aluminum cap

  • It was later proven that these cats are in fact Savannah cats. This guy is a con artist buying these for 4k and selling them for 22k by calling them something else.

  • i have an ashera cat :P

  • mother fucker get your rich ass down to the animal shelter and get a friendly cat

  • pinche gato ta muy feo pa miguel

  • @nosupecualponerme jajaja no mmz

  • Very pretty cat. I think that breeders are getting a little out of control with mixing breeds though.

  • Sooo has it been like...someone crossed the DNA of a wild cat and a house cat..how?

  • @Sodaboy1223 It's not new. Look at bengal cats - they come from Asian Leopard Cat and domestic hybrid. European wildcats mate with domestics in nature, one of the reasons european wildcats are endangered. Tomcats don't care which female in heat they do it with, if the size is OK. Servals are a bit bigger, so normally they'd look at a cat as something on the menu, but if a serval grows up with domestics, gets used to the cues and figures out how to do it with a much smaller female...

  • @jewelmarkess Sure.

  • hmmm.... an investor could just buy 2 of these cats for 56 grand and start to breed them himself......

  • @Isreal4realz Actually, they can't. When you buy an "Ashera" i.e. a savannah from this con artist, they are neutered. Now you can buy some savannahs from breeders and have use as breeders but they are very expensive un-neutered and the breeding process is fairly specific. An un-neutered F1 savannah can cost between 5,500 and 12,000 dollars.

  • @mbr05c huh, un-neutered for 12,grand? i said 56 grand for 2 so that's 28k each, that's more than twice as much as an un-neutered? that doesn't make sense

  • @Isreal4realz 28K is a SCAM, the real price of an F2 like this one is $2500-5000. Also, F1-F4 males are sterile. So you'll buy a female and mate it to say an egyptian mau, you'll get an F2. Then, at earlier generation, you'll get very small litters 1-2 kittens and high mortality; an F1 may be a bad mother, and you may have to bottle feed kittens. Then, if a kitten may look like a daddy and not mom... Then you'll get to deal with spraying. Not my idea of fun.

  • 2:03 Ohhhhm nom nom nom nom nom! Noooom nom nom nom nom! :D

  • Its a fraud, the ahsera is a high percentage (F1 or F2) Savannah cat

  • haha, its panting like a doggie

  • 22k can save cats in animal shelters

  • aw cute he is like OM NOMM NOMM NOMM !!

  • An Ashera is just an F1 Savannah cat. It was recently proven forensically.

  • I'd like these people to stop messing around with cats and wildcats's genetics...

  • this wildlife guy says you cant take the wild out of the cat. what the fuck is he talking about. people have been crossing animals since the beginning of time. all our domestic pets were once wild animals at one time. shit the german sheperds mostly wolf. it didnt just appear from thin air.

  • what's the difference between a Savannah cat, Ashera cat, and Serval cat?!

  • Haha, dumb bitch. So anxious to show the world how rich she is, she spent $22,000 on a cat. I wonder how she feels now that it's been proven that the fraud Simon Brodie is simply an F1 Savannah, at four or five times the cost of a savannah. What a colossal idiot!

  • My gato has a moustache... put a fucking price on that shit.

  • they are not real cats. its a scam.

  • That guy at the end is an idiot. "We don't know what the long term results will be" umm yeah we do serval hybrids called savannah's have been around since 1980

  • @yfenbjae not to mention that Servals have been kept as pets for far longer than that

  • that expert is an idiot.

you can also drop your 10 pound housecat off in the woods.

in a year if it is still alive it will be one wild and capable little bastard that you wouldn't want to surprise or corner.

all animals are capable of being wild.

he read some shit somewhere and feels confident enough to repeat it because he's reasonably sure that no one will challenge him.

  • HAHA that bitch just dropped that fuckin thing

  • 2:18.. have a nice fall kitty :O

stupid woman bringing up a predator in her house with kids in a neighborhood full of cats.. what a fool.. that thing is going to cause trouble.. even normal house cats fight but that thing's going to maul some damn faces.. put that hosepipe away!

  • This is a savannah cat...the company just took them off some breeder and tried to sell them for 4 times the price..

  • There's quite a bit of buzz online about these cats being FRAUDS - apparently genetic testing that has been done on known samples proved them to be nothing other than OVER-PRICED "Savannah Cats" which you can pick up from reputable breeders for FAR less than the ridiculous $20,000 (+) price tag.

Additionally, there are widespread accusations that Mr.Brodie is a career con man.

  • I can tell just by looking at this thing and listening to It's growl that I wouldn't want it around kids. It aint' no Ragdoll breed that's for sure.

  • i'm so going go to get this awesome cat.

  • shows how screwed up human beings are. Eventually someone is going to get hurt really bad, then the police will put them all to sleep. You know the world has gone crazy all for a few bucks. And there are fools who think paying more for the animal means it is a better breed. There are thousands of animals in shelters, rescue them and enhance your life. These so called breeders need their heads examined.

  • A Savannah Cat looks better! The spots on a savannah are more dramatic and wild looking.

  • Do some research online - so called "Ashera cats" seem to be little more than re-sold Savannah cats.

  • It IS a savannah cat lol. Theres no such ting as a ashera, the company were conning people by buying in savannah kittens and selling them for 4 times the price .... or so the reports go.

  • lol if u want a wild animal get a bobcat

  • No kidding, that would sure satisfy their fetish with having an "exotic" pet... LoL. Perhaps a nice Cougar as well.

  • rofl "could way UP TO 25 POUNDS!!!" I had a regular house cat that weight 18-20 pounds...its nothin big..... bah...just cross a serval with a leopard then I'll buy one..forget the extra domestic part :P... jk jk...just give me a serval, and a leopard... and I'll go ahead and take the risk douche...

  • I LOL'd at it's growl. Awesome cat, though. (:

  • so these cats are not wild and dangerous?

asian leopard cats + servals or cervals cats= recommended as pets and domesticated?...

wild+wild=legal? they have to made up their minds...

  • Svannah's are larger at 25 - 40 pounds.

But the News probably Underestimated it.

  • LONG CAT IS LONG

  • i'm sorry it's a beautifull cat.. but 22k? I could buy a car or put that towards buying a house.... please we have enough homeless cats in shelters being put to death everyday...just go to ur local animal shelter and $60...i just can't see in no way paying 22k for a pet...

  • I agree but I am getting a Ragdoll for a little over $1300. If you really LOVE the breed and you can afford it then get the cat by all means. It's the same as buying a car you like, some people don't care others specifically want a certain type of car but others really do!!! I would never spend too much money on a car but for a Ragdoll I would. You see what I mean? It depends on you as a person and it's not up to us to judge.

  • Personally I find Bengal, Ashera's, Savannahs, Abyssinians and all those "wild" cats utterly hideous and I would prefer a domestic or stray cat to those but Ragdolls are awesome!!

  • @nina20021 you would put it towards a house but if you had a few mill would you just give the money you dont need to the homeless?

  • @nina20021 I agree this is insane.

  • Look like a leopard????

    You sound like an idiot.

  • Geez...couldn't they come up with a better name for the cat? They spent $ 22,000 on the cat and called it "Hobie"? That's just embarrassing.

  • Houbi「褒美」 in Japanese means "reward"

  • the price is so ridiculous. I would never trade my Sphynx for this cat.

  • lol at 2:21 she just drops the cat

  • LOL the cat has a glitch... it wont shut up

I would love a quiet one though

  • what makes them a different breed than the savannahs?

  • If I'm not mistaken, a Savannah is bread between the Cerval and a housecat while an Ashera is bread between a Cerval, Asian Leopard, and then a housecat. The Asheras at least have the Asian Leopard in them, while the Savannahs have just the Cerval. As a result, I think Asheras are a bit bigger and they have a larger percentage of wild or exotic cat in them. Idk why anyone would pay 22k for a cat though, there are so many in shelters :(

  • HOLY LOLHAMMER 2:06

  • what kind of cat is she holding at 2:17?

  • @acryingguitar

It seems like an American longhaired cat

I have an American shorthaired cat though

^I advise you to get a shorthaired their move lovable^

  • WTF 2:06

  • LOL.. not So exotic that you have to worry about it, eating your children's friend..

  • i fink they should try to apply the loger life span to other cats, - eg, an ordanery cat lives 13 -15 yeas on average, yet these till they are 25 years

  • 206 very funny

  • do not trust that lifestyle pets guy. at $22k a pop he has a vested interested in making these animals seem like domesticated little puddy tats. in reality, this breed is still untested, and that cat the blonde lady has may grow a bad temper once it hits puberty and wants to start fucking.

  • i think this would be an awesome cat to have. 22,000 is way expensive but if it did cost only 100 everyone would have one. maybe that is why the price tag is so high. to prevent over population with this cat. i kinda want one. i think it would be awesome. come on seriously, a cat, the size of a medium dog, who wouldn't want it.

  • @shawno84 ikr? the cat is as epic as a cat but as energetic and stuff like a dog,

  • ya you can take the jungle out of the cat or else domestic house cats and dog would still be wild

  • Most Savannahs have an element of Bengal ie ALC in them, and so what´s new? Apart from the price? For 22 K USD you can get a wonderful breeding pair of Savannahs AND a fair pair of Bengals and make you own crosses. If that´s what you want. Me, I keep them separate.
