I know Michael wanted the absolute best for his fans, but, I still say that we did not need him dancing, lights, explosions, and all the extras that went into a spectacular MJ concert.

Michael could just sit on a stool and just sing accapella for the entire show and he would STILL sell out a stadium.

You're right. Fred Astaire was so blown away by MJ's 1983 Motown 25 performance of "Billie Jean", that he called him to praise and congratulate him. Michael said Astaire's compliments made him feel soooo good.

Always great to hear MJ sing in acappella, the first time I heard the way you make me feel acappella, the song without the music I realize just how magical his voice was, and of course Barry Gibb is yet another legendary voice. Seriously there isn't anyone around anywhere near these guys right now. At the moment there is no Elvis, Beatles, the Bee Gees or Michael Jackson, there is no one who has the class and quality of any of those guys had, people with a real musical talent.

@UniversalCyborg In case you didn't know, they do tons of takes in the recording studio when recording a song. It's not like they do just one take and use that. They do many many takes, different versions, then pick out the best ones, and go thru the mixing process.

Most producers/engineers edit that stuff out, or demand complete silence, but Bruce Swedien (who worked with MJ from the late '70s to 2001) kept all that dancing and slapping sounds on the finished tracks, because he felt it made it more authentic and more "Michael." XD Just listen to any of MJ's acapella songs on YouTube.... you hear him dancing, beatboxing and more, underneath the music, lol.
