Eddie, I've been seeing your sculpture on the internet for years. It looks like you make some very high-quality sculptures. I hadn't seem this one until today. Good job. I hope to see more from you in the future since it motivates me to make the sculptures that I make.
You should make a 2nd version of it with the black and white balls. On the chain ladder, it would carry balls in random groups (with 5 or more balls), and you would have a tiny computer that would read the random binary digits, and the computer would keep a record of the random numbers. The idea is complicated, but you probably know where I am coming from.
I don't want to sound like I am copying everyone else, but I too am a huge fan of your work. I saw your sculpture in a McDonalds in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and it made me pick up the hobby of making these. Love the sculpture and look forward to seeing more of your work. I am with ttharold it has been a while and I too am happy!!! Thanks
It's been a while since I've seen a new post on one of your pieces, Eddie! I'm happy you've put up this one. I'm a big fan of the spiral in general on any sculpture, but on this one I also like the chain lift (probably partly because I'm working on one of my own right now, but you know...still awesome!).
Thanks! Your imagination is all the skill you need to start out. The time... that is a different matter. I'll get some more videos of my creations up soon, so please check back.
Very cool. I am a big fan of your work, and rolling ball sculptures in general. They are fascinating creations. I've always wanted to be able to build them, but I don't think I could ever acquire the skills or find the time to make them. They are amazing, though. Keep up the good work!

what kind of ball do you use on this machine? They don't seem to produce much noise as the ball glide through the track, and it's great!
