no gato wasnt able to offer Cotto the needed spariing at Cotto's present fitness i heard. from what i hear, it because Cotto is in great shape, and he needed Gato before he got into this shape to help him intothe sparring, but now that Cotto is fit, he is gone onto fighters who will resemble Pac more on fight night...

its not whats needed in the aspect of identical style, but he would do 12 rounds sparring with 2 guys as fast as pac, with each one switching between each round, and 12 rounds with two guys stronger, each switching between rounds, then work with with bigger and stronger guys than himself, then train sparring on the back foot, or work on countering mannys bad mistakes in a fight, which are how he drops he's left coming out of working on the inside, leaving himself open to counters... hard work.
