The transcripts from the court case showed that both Raye and Gayla admitted that they were 'watching Mike' because they thought he might be abusing her. If they were watching her and did nothing about it, that means she is guilty of what she was convicted of. She chose her husband over her beautiful little girl and now she's doing time for it. Kelsey deserved better and deserves to be finishing up first grade right now.

There's testimony that she didn't even take Kelsey to the zoo but to work and the day she died, she left to pick up Whitney when it was usually Mike that did it. The transcripts from the court case showed that both Raye and Gayla admitted that they were 'watching Mike' because they thought he might be abusing her. If they were watching her and did nothing about it, that means she is guilty of what she was convicted of. She chose her husband over her beautiful little girl and now she's doing time for it. Kelsey deserved better and deserves to be finishing up first grade right now.

OMG! you better keep reading this baby lost weight, her hair was falling out, she was throwing up, and having night terrors and said "daddy Mike hurt me" If she was confused and wondering where the abuse was coming from she should have had that baby gorl by her side 24/7 and when working had a neutral party watching her. Funny thing is it was DHS who noticed that Kelsey coudnt walk not Raye DHS told Raye to take Kelsey to an emergency hospital and plus DHS noticed that Kelsey had night terrors and looked week sad Raye didnt notice much she only noticed the bruises and wieght loss and kept blaming Kathie even thou she new before mike Kathie never abused Kelsey and she was happy

if you are a parent arnt you supost to love your child and help them make the best out of there life? not cut it short. this si so wrong. i think the mother and step-fother should have got beaten them sealfs. and to all the people who thinks the moms the victom, she wat the one watching this happin. she could have left. she should have. cuz thatz wrong, you should never hit a kid hard enuff 2 leave bruses, let alone brake bons.itz just not right. they should both rot.

all yea where was kathie when she let kelsey crawl round in pain four days when raye picked kelsey up she took her to the doctors.Why didnt kathie take kelsey to the ER.i guess kathie briggs liked seeing kelsey in pain because she let kelsey suffer four days without any help

Raye Dawn Smith exhibits psychopath behavior... crodile tears without the understanding of the fact she did nothing because her demented husband meant more to her than the life of her child, she had every opportunity to take that little girl and leave that asshole and she didnt. Millions upon millions of people support the Briggs, what does that say, society isnt fooled but some of you are, enjoy your lonely boat!

Whether it was Raye or Mike that caused the final blow they are both responsible because one enabled child abuse and the other killed Kelsey and both will rot in hell for it!

i cried when i watched this. This is so sad. I would have killed this dad and beat up the mother for not reporting this abuse case. I would of felt s bad for her dad who was very caring. Its really sd that they abused her that bad to the point were she had to die. I think about her everyday and remember this.

Actually there are facts that Raye Dawn did the abusing. There's testimony that she didn't even take Kelsey to the zoo but to work and the day she died, she left to pick up Whitney when it was usually Mike that did it. Plus she was seen the day after Kelsey died picking out clothes for her daughter's funeral and she didn't look like she was greiving at all!

amber26101 i am a mother of three kids, and if my boyfriend was abused them i would kill him.I think it is so strange that she did not wonder where all her bruises was coming from, did she never bath Kelsey i just wounder because i think she would have seen all her bruises then.......

they all use the same story'i didn't see the bruises'. she is a big fat liar. kelsey suffered because her mother didn't care' raye will have this guilt for the reat of her life. i am happy that kelsey is now in a safe place that her step-dad or her wicked mother can't hurt her

so let me get this straight. the bruises on kelsey magically appeared out of nowhere and all the bruises on her face just appeard without her bitch of a mother even realizing. she allowed her stupid husband to beat kelsey and now kelsey is dead because of her neglect. i hope she rots in prison

Raye Dawn was trying to play on people's emotions again. In court she was trying to get sympathy and she talked to reporters to get more! She didn't cry or do anything when her daughter was going through the abuse and she's only doing it now for pity so people would believe she was a poor mother wronged by the law! That's how she always got her way I was told and how she got out of tickets. It isn't working this time though because everyone knows she should have protected Kelsey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she didn't know he was going to injure kelsey to death. she knew of all the bruises she knew how they got there. i wouldn't dought she put some there. she turned away from her daughter and let him do all this to her. kelsey suffered because her mom was foolish. she could have helped kelsey and save her but she didn't. she will have this guilt forever
