  • Tornado's are great, but eurofighter Typhoons are something else!

  • To be fair, dipping his wing as he did is actually a salute, so fair enough

  • @phuturephunk01 What the video is about is that the WSO/ Navigator is actually saluting as the aircraft passes , if you cannot see this then check out the link in the information or watch Cheeky RAF Tornado flight crew Salute at 400 M.P.H part 2 Thanks

  • @paulnod we can see that... but what phuturephunk01 is saying is that, by dipping his right wing, the pilot is also saluting

  • @crazycurtis28 Sorry i was just checking that you saw what i was pointing out in the clip as i think alot of people can't or choose not to see it. Hope you liked it!

  • @paulnod ahhh yeah i understand.

i do like it! tornado's are my favorite aircraft :D

  • when i was little i went fishing with my dad, when and F-18 did a flyby on us, i fell in the water :/

  • wow, i can see him picking his nose too!

  • @krywiggles no mate this is in Wales

  • Looks like the salute at air cadets, the tip of the middle finger has to touch roughly your eye lashes.

  • It looked to me like the valley into Bala lake. I lived in Bala for 2 years. I used to see alot of Harriers and US F-15s flying there (sadly no more harriers). Is this that location though???

  • Is that Dolleglau in North Wales? Those ******* are always zipping along there.

  • @TheMwnciboo I lived in Bala for a couple of years... I used to walk the dog in the tops and it made my day having the low flyers pass over... But the 6am low passes over the house pissed me off.

  • @paulnod You are both partially wrong the RAF salute is to drop the right wing

  • where was this base? is this the Falkland Island airbase?

  • i can see clearly the pilot is picking his butt. lol

  • Nothing beats the sound of a Tornado.

  • I think he flipped me the bird!

  • Do these guys have the best job???.... yeah I reckon so... Sooner spend my taxes on that as oppose to you jobless wonders out there. You know who you are.....

  • Thanks goodness government cutbacks will mean less of these joyriders causing noise pollution and scaring sheep around the UK. For 20 years I lived near an RAF base and had to put up with the roar and the smell of war machines. Happily the base is closing down. Maybe they'll have a cut-price sale.

  • One of them bastards flew over my car when I was on my way back from Scotland, scared the life out of me!!!!!

  • what type aircraft is that?

  • @15CINGIZ A word "Tornado" in the title should give you a hint...Google it ;)

  • @MaciasV8 oh yea PAnavia Tornado :)

  • LOL, he took a picture of you on the 2nd pass..

  • Is stealth too ?

  • Isnt that the closing scene of 24 hours later?

  • I dont see shit... But nice move really

  • @Moe11032 try the other clip,,, same title part 2 , it should be more clear and has a photo attached

  • @paulnod Yeah, it's pretty clear in the photo. I can't be sure it's the same fly by, but the wings are in same position, it's carrying exactly the same ordinance and at 0:08 (if you freeze at just the right spot) you can see a white spot right where the salute is in the photo - so I buy it. Cool vid. Tornado's were pretty sweet aircraft in their day.

  • That was brilliant - great still shot too!!!

  • cool

  • @paulnod his point is that he thinks it is a diffrent plane and your lying

  • If i could fly that baby just one time my life would be complete

  • the cheek!

  • MAN I LOVE HOW ITS SOUNDS

  • british version of top gun

  • In that case, my bad. But as i said. nice video.. next up, fly upside down and solute while you film from under it!

  • Very nice video. but the pictures have grass in the background and this video has the sky in the background. not the same.

  • @LoLArneh i filmed this plane from a lower place on the hillside than the guy taking the photograph, of course it looks a bit different but the fact is it's the same plane at the same time!!

  • @paulnod I agree its the same plane, I was there and my son took the photo!

  • wow did u give him a high five on the way by?? that was close

  • Im saluting you too!!!

  • why is it that in the link the retractable wings are out but during this video they are in?

  • Comment removed

  • @123kalvin321 If you watch the video, there are two separate passes of the Tornado - the first pass is slower with his wings extended about 1/2 out, the Tornado then drops down towards the lake/reservoir, the 2nd pass the wings are close to being fully retracted & the Tornado doesn’t make as much of a drop (if any) towards the lake/reservoir.

Nice sharp stills on the linked site - yep Weapons Officer is definitely saluting.

There's just something about a low flying Tornado .. ;)

  • @MelioraCogito sorry mate, i am mistaken, thanks for the reply.

  • @123kalvin321 No problem. You're lucky being in the UK to have an opportunity to see stuff like this [though sadly Tornados are a rare breed these days] - rare seeing anything like it in Canada [esp. on the west 'wet' coast].

I am aware NATO pilots [RCAF/USAF/RAF/RNAF/LW & AM] out of the NATO tactical flight training school at CFB Goose Bay, Newfoundland & Labrador do something similar up & down the coast of Labrador [flying nap-of-the-earth]. Must be an awsome sight!

    Cheers!

  • @123kalvin321 There are two different jets in this video, the second one you see isn't a replay of the first.

  • @123kalvin321 if you checked correctly, first flypast have the wings extended, during the second wings are retrected

  • If you have seen the picture (to compare) and pause it around the 0:07 mark you can defo see the arm and hand of the person in the back seat giving a salute.

  • Damn that's great!

  • i wouldn't get in that plane for 10 million $

  • @ben74255 why? id do it for free

  • AWESOME!

  • Tornado and Jaguar pilots would buzz the civilian base I was on in North Yorkshire, and the sound was incredible. It would come out of nowhere and pass by in a fractured second, but either you planted yourself face first or you would come pretty close to it.

Thanks for the video...the Tornado is one hell of a machine and many Americans owe their lives to the skill and sheer guts of the pilots when they served in the Gulf campaigns.

  • Looks a bit like the ending of the film 28 Days later when they do a fly by in the Lake District.

  • That being the case, you were there, you should be proud. Cheers!

  • honestly all i see in the cockpit are some blurs, but if you say he's saluting, then I'll take your word for it; you WERE there, after all ;)

  • @MapleLeafAce if you look at the information there is a link to a photograph , try this and it will show it more clear. i never saw the salute myself until i was sent this photograph link!

  • @paulnod When I was there, I never noticed a navigator in an F15 fist-pumping as they blasted past us until I got the shots imported into lightroom!!

  • @MapleLeafAce I was sceptical.. view that link in the infor section you can see him knocking a salute out.. The photographer was wearing a Leeds United Shirt.

  • @MapleLeafAce If you look at the picture first you can kind of make it out in the video. Amazing shots!

  • you can either enjoy this clip , or you can move on and watch another 5000000 shit clips that really are not worth watching at all , remember if you send me a rude or annoying message i can just delete it , please let people who want to enjoy it , enjoy it

  • 1. To the minority of people who don't seem to understand my video clip. I am not trying to post a clip that fools you into seeing something that you do not expect to see

  • @paulnod It looks like the Lake District - can you tell me where exactly? Just love that noise but it does feel out of place sometimes on a fell!

  • 2. I am not 100% sure if the Person in the back seat is waving , saluting or calling me a w*nk&r

  • I do not want to get into an argument about who sits where in the seats of a Tornado

  • 4. I am proud to show off my clip of not only a great aircraft flying past but the luck of the "Navigator" acknowledging 20 people standing on a cold wet Welsh hill watching Jets go past , once again sorry if you don't like it. Feel free to click the dislike button!

  • PS, was it really 400mph?

  • @ilovemywife34 difficult to say , the camera gives a different image to what you actually see . As you probably know yourself things always seem to look slower than what they are . If i knew the exact speed i would put it on there, maybe you can take a guess

  • @ilovemywife34 Usually about 420kts

  • Stop wasting my tax payers money and disturbing my peace and quiet. Lots of love, serving member of RAF.

  • @ilovemywife34 definitely a blunty

  • Quiero uno de esos para llegar temprano al trabajo :D

  • only the RAF ha ha ha good work guys

  • This was on the news a while back. They were outraged that they saluted in a multi million £ aircraft saying what a waste of public money. Fuck you news. These lads and girls fight for your naff crap to be on air.

  • by any chance was this filmed near Dolgellau in north wales? Like near Cadair Idris?

If so then, years ago i went there and 2 F15s done a fly by for me.

  • @BreakBeatDnB It was, I live near there and recognise it :)

Its actually fairly common to see the F15s up there, id say i saw them about yearly

  • i think he was giving the bird like at the start of topgun

  • Pause at 0.08 you can clearly see the white glove :D

  • @DarkShowdownn yeah riiighhtt!...

  • @TheSouthSides Damn right :D

  • you see a fly on the face of the pilot.

  • Crystal clear photo in the link - good work!

  • nice plane, has a lot of areodynamic shapes

  • Fackin Amazin ! see you at RAF Fairford

  • that was a great shot!

  • Imagine being there, standing in that valley, when the sexiest plane ever is ripping through the sky around you. I'm aroused.

  • thats one fine looking plane.! ...greetings from the U.S

  • "Saluting to the right, to the right salute!"

  • my dad was a RAF fighter pilot for 20 years, flew this air craft in scotland through the mountains, loved every minute of it!

  • I wasn't waving, I was picking my nose.

  • @Glaxist, there is a link in the information which shows the photo !! Don,t forget that i did not know that the Navigator was going to salute i just pointed my camera at the plane , there is a link in the info to a photo which shows this more clear,

  • Can i see this beasts in action in UK ? Where ?? thx

  • Bad-ass man, its like a mustache with titties.

  • OK lets get serious , and i'm curious after watching this , How do pilots salute in the air do they show the wing?

  • he wern't waving he was flipping u off :D

  • Was that by Allswater(Or Ollswater) In the lake district?

  • Legend,,, but the next time he tried it, he got a roasting (literally)

  • sexy

  • Say what you want about the eurofighter, it will never look or sound as good as a Tornado.

  • You can just makeit out at 0.07

  • @kiannakittykat1 there is a link in the information which shows the photo !!

  • This must be the coolest thing to try in world

  • cheeky bastad!

  • @ampthilluk I do not want to get into an argument about who sits where in the seats of a Tornado again!!!

  • @yynnmmbb really, this has to be the most dumb ass comment of all time, and I have to ask, Why? there are so many things I can think off that do over 400 mph, sure I saw pictures of planes breaking the sound barrier, of air to air missiles, your a dick!

  • Good clip, been to the spot many a time, well known to those that know about these tings, and the rears often wave or salute, someone, a loser, wrote "A camera can not take a picture of something doing over 400 mph" really, just think about that for a moment, it has to be the most stupid comment of all time, dumb-ass!

  • 250,000 views coming soon!! Thanks to all my viewers!

  • If you look carefully you can see the navigator (not pilot) saluting go to the link and see the fantastic photo taken by dramaticprariedog who was there on the same day i witnessed this fantastic aircraft fly past .

  • I think the navigator is taking the piss! (Well spotted by dramaticprariedog ) as i never noticed it myself and i am sure some viewers won't at first but look carefully .

Filmed 24th September 2009 at 1600 local time at the "Mach" loop Wales. You can Watch the 1 minute version including some Hawks at "Mach Loop 24th Sept 2009" and believe me he does salute.

  • @yynnmmbb this image was in the paper about a day later..so explain the fakeness of that then??

  • @yynnmmbb this is 2011, not 1939.

  • where was it m8, wales or further up north. ??? because we`ve seen pilots doing all sorts back to us.

  • @jujitsuman68 ,North Wales just north of Machynlleth Powys

  • @paulnod got it mate, we used to see them around mold way. good video .

  • @yynnmmbb . Yet again another loser who lives with his Mum tries to make out that my clip is a fake , If you look carefully your Mum is flying the plane and the navigator is fucking her up the arse

  • @paulnod "If you look carefully your Mum is flying the plane and the navigator is fucking her up the arse" - You sir are a fucking legend!

  • @paulnod Ok..thats a Video I'd pay money to see :)

  • @paulnod that is rubbish, you nerd. think about your own mum.

  • @paulnod lmao best come back ever...

  • @paulnod That........Just made my day.

  • @paulnod wow really??is that airforce regulations?

  • @yynnmmbb ever heard of zooming in? You can do that with cameras nowadays.....

  • @KidsInYourPool you put 1 up with zoom and we will all thumbs up.

  • i miss my old days at Grafenwoehr as a 13F. Our OP almost always got buzzed by A-10's or Tornados.

  • Bloody brilliant!.

There's only one thing better than a cheeky fly-by by a NOISY jet fighter, and that's a cheeky fly-by by TWO NOISY jet Fighters!

    YEAH!.

    Nice clip, this.

  • The navigator - that explains it - probably just scratching his head

  • wow great footage, good job

  • @mf863722 He's a GIB. Guy in Back.

  • Wich lucky....

But I prefer a Rafale. But..... Wich lucky...

  • 1. To the minority of people who don't seem to understand my video clip. I am not trying to post a clip that fools you into seeing something that you do not expect to see

  • @mf863722 Well spotted. Are you a pilot? You should be. You'd get in the correct seat without any training.

  • Look. He made a good, lucky, humorous video, and was decent enough to take the time and trouble to upload it so you could see it. Isn't that enough? Yes it's the man in the back seat OK, yes he's waving OK OK? FFS go and get yourselves a girlfriend each or something; move out of your mum's and get a life.

  • @TheSpazzpecker . Great comments , i think we are thinking the same thing, Hope you liked the clip and the link

  • @paulnod I believe my father metioned this on return from sortie

  • I looked at the link and it appears that the back-seater is waving at you and not saluting. His palm is facing the wrong direction for a salute.

  • @andypete357 Fuck me rigid.

  • @andypete357 Sorry mate, afraid you're wrong: this is the RAF remember, NOT the U.S. 'Military'. We salute here with the palm facing OUTWARDS (not inwards, like in the American forces) - which is what he's doing in the pic on the link; what I can see is a standard RAF salute. ;-)

  • The guy in the rear seat of a Tornado doesn't fly the aircraft. He is the WSO.

  • First time I saw a Tornado was at an airshow when I was 14. When it came over a hill pointing towards the crowd those two awesome curls of smoke formed behind it, I was grinning from ear to ear. Then when it ripped over head, I filled my drawers on account of how freaking loud it was.

    Hell of a machine.

  • 221 by me!

  • This is hysterical. Nothing better than military jokes in possibly life threatening situations.

  • if you go up the Llanberis pass thru Snowdonia, they fly LOWER than the mountainside road, now google "im with stupid RAF jet"...........

  • Usual mach loop activities :)

  • What were you doing there?

    Communicating!

    Communicating?

Keeping up foreign relations. Giving him the bird!

    You know, THE FINGER!

Yes, I know the finger, Goose.

  • nice video I love the Tornado

  • What an awesome video mate. you wer super close to that jet musta been a good rush. i live in northern ireland we dont get many jets flying about here as ther is no RAF bases here apart from Aldergrove buts its more army air corps now.

  • @306flyguy Miserable cunt. I bet you live with your mum.

  • this is in wales, right?

  • @b1gbird001 North Wales just north of Machynlleth Powys

  • @paulnod i remember a pilot flying between the brecon beacons did the same thing, when i was up there

  • @paulnod That name has 'Mach' in it! Is this why it is called the mach loop? I thought it was because of the supersonic jets only. Nice coincidence:-)

  • @306flyguy Firstly i was not expecting to even see the navigator waving , Also i am not a pro it was windy cold and the aircraft was going over 400mph , The video was at first just to watch the plane go past and i spotted the wave at a later date, that's why there is a link to the photograph,

  • @paulnod You will never be able to please all the dumbfucks on youtube...

  • ahaha I've seen one somewhere with the Navigator holding an 'I'm with stupid' sign while flying past!

  • even though the tornado, mig23 and the tomcat are in their twilight years, they will always have a special place in my book. swing wings are just plain sexy! thanks for the upload

  • click the link in description for a HD shot of it :D awesome!

  • @Reaper8902 'cause it was stolen

  • the 5th generation fighters look amazing, and old birds like the Vulcan look beautiful yet powerful at the same time, but the tornado for me will always look like its spoiling for a fight, and i love that!

  • @zoso11 the UK are bypassing the 5th generation and jumping straight into the 6th generation of fighters. Check Tyrannis... omg!

  • @Reaper8902 because its a transformer? god..

  • @Reaper8902 Operational markings are more discreet than normal markings, the RAF roundel has no white ring and they are all smaller, but the markings will be there, somewhere!

  • Navigator? Bad boy Didier Copp and I´m waiting of the day for your damage, Cosian Devil,

  • We were around that area when we did an outward bound course. One came past slow and saluting to us, and the other one appeared to do a barrel role right through the valley! We was at the same height at the pilot. Amazing

  • Great video!
