great design.
I was thinking such tabs would only work well for widescreen monitors, but adding the option to hide was very nice.
You could even go for a full hiding tabs and use the tab list preview that firefox got now.

The design doesn't include this option -- I thought that would make it a bit too complicated :)

That's a pretty slick idea! One suggestion would be to temporarily uncollapse tab groups when the mouse hovers and pauses over them. That way, you could get to the tab you wanted with only 1 click.

This would be very helpful! I am one of those people who occasionally have many tabs open at once, and I can see that this would be extremely useful!
