  • It made me feel like I want to sell my DSLR now and stick to just a regular digital camera.

  • @SergSpace Don't do that!!! This video was made back in 2009, way before the HDSLR craze. If you want shallow depth of field with amazing image quality without spending $10,000 stick with the HDSLR. In fact, you will see that Tony, the host of this show, now uses HDSLR's for his work.

  • Big deal... He has lights. OK?

  • you are very talented! well done! you deserve more views on this!

  • Buoom lol its booooooom

  • THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY!!!!

  • @Linogq "THIS IS ALOT OF MONEY!!!!" Yea. It says "Professional Video Equipment" not "Get really cheap stuff off of ebay"

  • @MrMagicCreeper it could be done cheaper and better...

  • @hristijank2 Yes, could be, but it is professional. Professional isn't cheap.

  • @MrMagicCreeper oh btw... i wrote that comment before watching the video... this isnt so expensive stuff... check out what happens when they record with Red ONE, with panavision lenses and at leas 10 grand camera rig... with tons of lights... xD there is Really cheap way (the way i do, check my videos...) A lil bit less cheap way. Normal way (affordable not for everyone) semi pro way, Pro way and hollywood way...

  • @hristijank2 Lol yea, I totally agree.

This is what I came to...

So the Hobbit is shooting at 48fps, 3D on 2 RED EPIC cameras. Those cameras cost $40,000 USD each, and there is 8 3D cameras to each unit. That means that there is 16 RED EPIC cameras per unit, and if there are 2 units...

    32 cameras x $40,000 = $1,280,000 USD

    lol

  • @hristijank2 Wow, That was the idea. The CAMERAS. Not the mother fucking whole thing. Remember kid, they are actually hiring out 30 of those cameras.

  • @hristijank2 Because your grammar, spelling, syntax and swearing seem like that of an immature 10 year old. The truth hurts, doesn't it.

  • @MrMagicCreeper well sorry mr. perfect! im not in a country that the homelang is english... if youd be in my country... believe me you would be much worse.

My question is how did you get such clear signal

from youtube. What settings do you use to compress

and export your video to get this clarity? Thanks for

your willingness to share. woody FitzHugh

  • Hey Tony, I just put on a Raynox 6600 pro wide angle lens on my HV30, do you know if they make a lens hood to fit around this. If so were can I pick one up?

  • Ebay, you will find one. just search 72mm lens hood w/ cap

  • Thanks for sharing, but since I'm a newbie, a lot of your terms and slang go right over my head... Maybe you have another video explaining all the jargon.

  • Very insightful!!! Thanks! Many rookies (like me) don't realize how important lighting is, or at least how creative you can get with assortments of light .
