there are differences between the left and right brain, but it is not exactly like this. Your left brain and right brain have very specifically different tasks (except the direct sensory input sections.) These signals are then communicated between the hemispheres. Everyone uses both halves of their brain (unless damaged, and even then the brain adapts). Some people merely receive more nutrition from their glial cells in certain areas, and those parts of the brain become more dominant in them.

there are differences between the left and right brain, but it is not exactly like this. Your left brain and right brain have very specifically different tasks (except the direct sensory input sections.) These signals are then communicated between the hemispheres. Everyone uses both halves of their brain (unless damaged, and even then the brain adapts). Some people merely receive more nutrition from their glial cells in certain areas, and those parts of the brain become more dominant in them.

The right side of the brain is spatial in its time orientation. That means that the right hemisphere is not as interested in CLOCK time as the left side, which is concerned with preciseness. An example: Work is generally sceduled according to the clock. Modern religion is sceduled according to the calender. Native Americans use a concept called INDIAN TIME. You do something when it feels right. Thats my understanding of space time orientation.

The part of the brain that judges the consequences of actions and the part the performs cost vs benefit analysis have both been found in the brain, you would think these are both logical parts of the brain, but they're not both in the left side of the brain.
There is no connection from thought to a 'soul'.

Dreams, as far as we can tell, is the brains way of compressing information. Premonitions and Deja vu is information that is in recent memory that gets stored in late memory and vica versa.
As far as the soul: that's the thing. There IS no "energy" inside of us except the chemical energy that makes our bodies go. There is no evidence for a soul.
