Start off with "Brian's Winter", where it assumes that Brian had retrieved the survival pack, but there was no transmitter, then you read "The River", where some survival scientist want him to go back and see how he survived, then "Brian's Return", where Brian feels he doesn't belong in civilization and goes back, then, finally, "Brian's Hunt"! There's the sequels!
