thanks 4 the vid, when streaming in the home from PC to say an Iphone, is it possible to do it over your LAN connection? I would rather not waist internet bandwidth until I am away from home.
It looks like the keyboard/mouse combo for the google tv is decent but the mouse itself seems like choppy movement.. video only seemed to show movement in a single direction or turning slowly.. don't get me wrong that works for wow but not fluid mouse movement will ruin any first person shooter games.. movements look like a kid that doesn't know how to adjust his mouse sensitivity.. touchpads fail
The video says Windows and Mac, what about Linux? I assume as it is browser based it will work but what Technology is required and is it available on Linux?
From what I understand is this works like OnLive. Wherever you are in the world as long as you have google tv, you can connect to your home's gogole tv and play all your games.
You can try it out. We'll give users the ability to tweak their settings to maximize the environment but ultimately it will depend on grunt to make it happen.
Anyone heard of plugging a video cable from your PC to your TV? It's far cheaper and you can use a widescreen resolution so the game doesn't look like crap.
If you're not at home, you'll need a reeaaallllly long video cable from your PC to where ever you are to play your game. Best use Adrenalin and a browser from work/school/cafe.
ummmmmm you still need to bring the google tv box with you.... and have internet connection to the box... (so i think hotels are obsolete) am i right here?
@Tda7000 right.. but this also allows you to play a game on your tv if your computer isn't a different house/state/country... can't do that with cabling :)
@Tda7000 Despite it being a game, this isn't meant for children. Its meant for adults, and there are millions who would like to just be able to play a quick game from the cloud - just wait until OnLive makes and android client - they are going to make a mint. Because normals don't want to hook up their computer to a TV - it looks stupid to them.
Lag on this is around 50-60 ms so its pretty good. Most certainly not >1 sec. I suppose the best test is to go get a Google TV and try it for yourself!
@handsock No. Theoretically you could play games at your friends house (if he has a google tv) without having to bring your pc over or anything. Or vice versa. OnLive is a subscription service where you play the games that they offer you. You don't own anythingin that instance.
what about lag ?

Is that huge control lag I see in that video? (about 1second)
Hopefully this can be cleared up! That would be awesome :D
Any chance of an Alpha?.. I seriously can't wait!
(I want to use my PC as a server and play a 5-man full graphics LAN on crappy laptops.. Sweeeeeet :) )

@gamestring1 Sounds interesting. I've signed up for the Beta. I'm looking forward to trying it out in a LAN environment.

I guess lag on the service will be 100% dependent on the users connection :P
