@Shocker716 Yes. The low violence version is where there is no (very little at most) blood, disappearing bodies, and no fire animation on common infected. To get the normal version on Steam you have to purchase it in a country where the R18+ version is permitted.

The 'zombies' in this game aren't the normal 'living dead' zombies. They are people who are infected with a virus of some sort that causes their behaviour. The people you play are immune to this virus.

It is because Australia does not have an R18+ rating for games so anything above teen level will be refused classification and hence banned. Valve therefore had to censor the game in order to get a teen rating for Australia.

No one was more pessimistic of the southern setting than me -- I told myself time and time again that it would be bad and the daylight would ruin it, but this game is simply better. The new special infected are incredibly well thought out (though I have reservations on the charger; glitchy thing) for tactics on both sides, the campaigns are varied even more-so than the original, and in my opinion, the melee weapons work satisfyingly well.

so, this only makes it seem like if you shoot bodies with a shootgun from 2 feet away, the person falls down and disappears, same with swinging a sharp, metal object at someone.

Media should be enforced to show what bullet wounds really look like, on TV and video games we see people get shot like 80 billion times and they are still standing and fighting. Censorship of violence isn't going to solve any problems Ausizes may be having.
