I think the burqa is really unnecessary and a hideous sight! the quuran tells women to dress modestly and cover there hair you can do that with jean and a dress and a cardigan and a hijaab etc by all means i do not mind the hijaab at all if women choose to cover there hair let them but the full hijaab and veil is a disgrace and as for some women saying its their choice then they should be ashamed. some women in their native country are oppressed within them and would love to see them banned

@expressiveification There is nothing British about the Burka or Islam. I'm so glad I moved away from a multi racial area. I now live in a 98% white area and we celebrate christmas, easter and partake in all English customs. It's a poor area but it has one of the lowest crime rates in the UK. I wonder why.

I think Britain is a lovely place,it has some really nice lovely open-minded people who are soo nice, then theres some really unpleasent people, who are so mean and judge you.As a whole its a lovely place to live in ,its better then America by miles. Good point. If we are really talking about freedom, then one could attend a job interview wearing a Nazi uniform, and subsequently claim discrimination if one failed to get the job. The Nazi uniform is unacceptable because it symbolizes a bad idea. So does the Burka. The Burka is not individualistic clothing - it is a political uniform and promotes negative ideas...
