  • i love the 80s

  • Anyone notice the "ghostbuster"at the firehouse is wearing the pack upside down? At least it looks like that to me. The funny thing is thats probably the only reason why I remembered this commercial. lol

  • I always wanted the trap ... never got it dammit

  • LOL @ 4:22

  • I like how they use the same kid groaning sound clip over and over again for every single monster.

  • Did anyone even win that trip and meet a Ghostbuster, by Ghostbuster, I do mean the actors ?

  • The kid at 4:15 is gaining valuable skills for his future.

  • Egon Spengler

    Peter Venkman

    Ray ... uh...

    Winston...

  • @ClandestineOstrich Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore

  • Wow, I forgot all of these! I had the football dude, the cop, Egon(the one with the tie that would flip up), grannie gross, dracula, the garbage man and probably all of the McDonald's school supplies. Damn, I need me an Ecto-Cooler now.

  • there are still hard spots all over my parent's house rugs from slime. all those toy franchises had slime. slime was awesome in the 80s.

  • @stripperella1sthubb Why am I dripping with goo?

  • they don't make toys like this

    these day

  • Fucking kids play in silence

  • 5 sec for the ecto-3 boom

  • Childhood memories!

  • Ecto-2 was so aggravating.

  • please tell me anyone reply to me isn't slimer good right

  • Why is it that the Ghostbusters depicted in these cartoons are getting extremely frightened by ghosts and running away, instead of living up to "Ain't afraid of no ghost"

  • i had all these toys when i was little i loved growing up in the late 80s and early 90s thats when a kid was a kid i cant forget the toys back then they were way cooler than the shit they sell thses days kids these days dont know what its like to know how awesome it was to grow up in the 80s and early 90s ghostbusters was the shit long live the 80s and early 90s

  • @DA8653 they did, but they are DOLLS! ( but still look really cool)

  • I remember when GBII came out, Hardees had these electronic noise makers, and the commercial had some joke like "Those ghost repellers don't actually work, do they?" "You see any ghosts?"

  • whaaaat, I had that playdough set but don't remember the Glow in the Dark playdough, no fair :(

  • I haven't thought about some of these in a long time, forgot i had a lot of these.

  • Jeez! did all the 80's toys ooze slime ?

  • the movie was hilarious, the cartoon was awesome, the toys were bad ass, the games were pretty cool and the cereal was delicious!!!

  • awesome stuff i luv the 80s

  • man the 80s the 90s and the early 2000s were when commercals were fun now there boring

  • OMG the toy at 0:53 is canadian!

  • Now here's a question. Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that the kids say "gooped" when they mean slimed? LOL

  • Oh wow... I had almost everything there... from the proton pack, the firehouse, the "frightened" action figures, the goggles, the popper, Ecto 1 and 2, to the playdough set... I even drank the ecto cooler and remember trying to get that cheap plastic record from the cereal box working. Holy crap did I bleed my parents dry.

  • yeah man you Memories collector that fine !

  • HI-C ecto cooler was the shit. I wish they still made it.

  • I wish I still had these from when I as a kid...wow

  • 4:17 is where its at

  • The "Ghostbuster" at 6:33 is wearing his proton back upside down. What real Ghostbuster would do that?

  • I like 00:45 when the Boy says "ding ding ding ding ding"

  • Tear.....

  • I had and have still got ALL of these toys in my mums attic !

  • it sucks that i had alot of this stuff and alot of this stuff i still have is broke, oh god i remember records in cereal that brings back memories

  • Comment removed

  • I Had: The Policeman, Granny Gross, Popper Gun, ECTOI and few character figures (The sort that would have gone with the Fire Station)

  • I bet those little kids borrowed the neutrona blaster and the water zapper from their mom. Those toys look like dildos.

  • I miss and wish I had these products I gre up with this stuff in the 90's and miss it hell I think that they should bring back the ecto cooler Hi c drink

  • Wow, I wish I had an entire scaled new york city playset when I was a kid. Deceiving bastards.

  • I hate all the times I'm hanging out at abandoned airports in the middle of the night with my secretary and I get attacked by ghosts...

  • @donavonbray I know, isn't it a real ghost of a problem?

  • know what eronic about this, in teh movie the whole resson the GB was even made was for the franchies and now look what happend it spread to Real life like wild fire

oh BTW I WANT THAT CERIAL NOW IN 2010!

  • WOW! THAT WATER ZAPPER IS WEIRD TO USE!

  • Those cereals must of had enough sugar to induce diabetes! AHAhAH Wow did they rape the shit out of this product or not?

  • Each sold fuckin separately apparently

  • i ate, drank and played with so much GB stuff in this commercial.

  • this takes me back. I had a lot of those toys (and still do). I never had ecto-1 or the firestation but I did have Ecto-2 and go-cart (ecto-3?). Wore out the trigger mechanism on my Ecto-2 and broke Winstons arm by over use. The pack and trap had to be my favourite of the lot.

  • Are you willing to bet that the winner of that contest where you'd go to the firehouse, see the ecto1 and meet the "Real life Ghostbuster" met Ernie Hudson?

  • Here's my question. Why do most of these commercials depict the Ghostbusters, running away from the ghost saying "We're not scared" instead of "busting them" as they're known to do?

  • does anybody see anything wrong about the water zapper at 4:19?

  • Best transformable action figures ever!

  • those days... hehehe.. I rememeber saving my allowance to buy the venkmen figure.. i thought it was so cool. too bad I don't have it anymore...

  • god i miss my proton pack

  • Slime fucker?!

  • lmao i dont believe a man could turn his body around 3 times

  • 3:30 HAAA YO TENIA ESE !!!!

  • i was crazy about those ecto-traps..

  • Never understood why they did the fright features figures. Thought they ruined a good toy line with them. Even the animated series didn't have them. Would've prefered Kenner to put out more ghosts, or the Janine figure alot earlier (can't remember if she was only avaliable as a fright feature).

  • whos the football guy again?

  • the song of the cereals commercial sounds like jack black rendition of the ghostbusters theme in be kind , rewind !

  • Wow, I just realized how badly some of those toys made children paranoid about random people and things being ghosts lol

  • It would be great if they put these toys and merchandise back into circulation for like a limited time in celebration of GB3 when it comes out. I would buy everything I could get my hands on. I think my parents threw all my old toys away :(

  • lol @ 4:23

they had to have "dad" on the robe as if we didnt know who the guy was so nobody thought he was a pedo or something

  • I hated that those darn beams were attached to the blaster. I remember cutting them off lol..

  • Give me a time machine so I can go back to the 80's and buy all the Real Ghostbusters toys!!

  • @krisfrosz133

Make sure the time machine is a Delorean!

  • This commercial really proves how one of a kind the 80s was , at least in my opinion

  • the stay puft marshmallow man isnt a class 3 ghost...

  • 4:17 .... LMAO!!!

  • Good God! What is that thing supposed to be?

  • Los jueguestes de los cazafantasmas son lo más genial del mundo!...

  • I remeber the cereal, I used to be able to get the VHS Tapes from it

  • Food and drink are not toys.

  • ecto-cooler+ghost buster cereals=gg

  • The OG figures!! These were the best.

  • Does all these human characters have expression-changing gimmick?

  • No, there were two years of Fright Features figures, then a set of Screaming Heroes fighes. As far as I remember, the rest of the human characters had plain faces and reused the original headmolds from that point on.

  • growing up in the late 80's when i was like 7 or 8, my parents were too poor to buy me these toys. Now that I'm grown w/ a good job, I find myself going to garage sales, flea markets, and the internet buying and looking for these old toys. Does that mean I have problems?

  • No it means youre a collector, nothing wrong with that.

  • @AtticusRh0des I got enough Kenner products to make any Batman or Ghostbusters collector jealous..

  • @AtticusRh0des your right except i was not even alive when they came out

  • what toys do you own? i still have some of mine from the 80's and early 90's and now my kids think those toys are the coolest lol who whould have known

  • My parents aren't poor but they like buying crappy NES Games than toys.

  • @Kaspergaling theres nothing wrong with re-living your childhood. It was the best time of our lives.

  • @Kaspergaling I had a lot of these toys, growing up, and still I would buy them in a heartbeat if I saw them at those sales. It's like reflecting on your past.

  • @Kaspergaling well im like 13 and im hoping to find these toys at flea markets and i found one at the dump i washed him up and he was perfect

  • @Kaspergaling means you have problems worth exploring! Dude, just seem mature, stay young! never grow up on the indside.

  • @Kaspergaling Not at all, it's awesome in my opinion! :-)

  • @Kaspergaling nothing wrong with that but were do you find them like a spasific place

  • @Kaspergaling Nope, I do the same thing. I wish I held on to what I did have.

  • i had alot of them to, wonder what happened to them

  • 4:00 - 4:30 Egon, Peter and Ray as Childs XDDDD

  • every toy in these commercials i've had @ one time wish i still had it

  • WTF!!! "I've been guped." it's "I've been slimed!"

  • Kids: We ain't scared of no...GHOOOOSSSTTSSS!

Dad: Heh heh...now it's time to molest these kids

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • i got the proton pack on ebay

  • i got that Egon and Janine back then..... but i lost them when we move the house T_T

  • Its fine they sold us toys and it was good we usd are imagination when using them. unlikke now with kids and their video games. But I find it unacceptable they sold us sugar shit cereal "a part of a complete breakfast my ass", they sold us sugar shit drinks and then Ronald Mcdonald and his wierdo friends sold us fast food.

I loved the ghostbusters growing up but I did not realize they sold us this shit. It is much worse now and kids or more obese than ever.

I know I am too serious but come on.

  • 6:30 Where was the trip to? Hook and Ladder 8 in NY (what they used for the outside scenes) or Engine 23 in LA (what they used for the inside scenes)?

  • HAPPY MEAL!!

  • My goodness, I remember the Hi-C Ecto Cooler from my childhood...I used to drink it all the time.

  • ok on min. 4:00 and going on looking at the toys they kinda look like sex toys lol thts just me talking

  • 4:17. Yep

  • I know , I know lol

  • ive been gooed dosent he mean slimed

  • wow us dudes had some pretty rad toys then. i still got all this shit up in my parents attic.

  • Wow you guys really did get the rad toys haha. Haha all the shit thats in my attic is broke and full of lead paint lol.

  • wow what did he say at .20? blood F*** it? if not thats what i heard lol

  • they don't make cereals for movies anymore as much as they used to huh.

  • yeah i missed that when i see these ads they make me miss the old days

  • Ha!! I had some of those toys, some I still do. Like Rays original proton pack w/ figure and Egons yellow PKE meter. I loved the cereal.

  • Coolest toy collection ever, period.

  • DAMN i feel so sorry for my parents... having a spoiled bitch like me for a kid.

I had all of that crap..

  • How come eeevery commercial of the Ecto-1 removed the roof part and the stickers on the side?

  • 2:39, that kid does a decent Annie Potts impression, i bet he's gay now

  • WOW! This actually put a big smile upon my face. I just realized that I had like 85% of those toys! The house, the plane, the car, the ecto 1, the helicopter, most of the characters. and believe it or not i still have some of them in the basement. many of the toys are damaged though. still good memories looking back at that... and yea the slime was VERY messy. stained my basement carpet badly.

  • The ectoplasm got EVERYWHERE. It was incredibly messy.

  • Holy crap! The scenarios were does the kiddies play were the best part! Imagine having a room with all those city scenarios and the figures!

  • wow i had them all plus this makes me old

  • ty for the post! I've forgotten how much fun these comercials and toys were. :)

  • Ronald Mcdonald sexually abused kids....Fact!

  • man, no wonder bill murray said no to a sequel all those times he was approached

  • who remembers the cereal?

  • ah the days when they keep us out (blacks)

  • there was a black ghostbuster....

  • and a bunch of black children in the commercials...

ah the days when your still bitchen about racism, get over it.

  • wow!!! memory lane those were the days i had the pack the trap an pke meter thought i was a gb for real the ecto cooler was my fav drink had too have it. its kinda bitter sweet the 80s were the best time 2 be a kid

  • fuck i use to have all the vichles and ghost but no ghostbusters then i got a couple.

  • and here.

  • i didnt look that retarded when i was playing with my toys...

  • Oh God I had and still have some of those monsters/ghost from back in the day!

  • lol i had all this stuff when i was a kid, the worst was the ghostbusters firehouse...whenever you put the slime through the little holes in the roof it would harden up and would be impossible to clean

  • i had every single toy from that collection

  • same here

  • Darn! I envy you guys... But its cool! You have the coolest toys ever! Consider it as a national treasure.!

  • the more special moves they had time after time, the more shitty they were..best were the original figure series. anyway..great vid, great time back then...thanks

  • 0:43 gooped?!

    I thought it was "slimed"!

    >=?

  • it is slimed the kids prob nevr saw the movie

  • omg the memories, it always used to b the turtles n thundercats vs ghostbusters n gi joe at my house

  • oh wow even the Play-Doh commercial....I had a lot of these toys. Didn't even know there were McDonald's premiums though! This year is the 25th anniversary of Ghostbusters
