Whenever I hear this song, I cry. My old babysitter has had cancer about 5 times, and she's battling it right now. my grandma got cancer about a year ago and at first we didnt know how serious it was so i wasnt worried but it turned out that it was terminal. the first thing i did when my mum told me was run to my room to listen to this and cry. it still makes me think of her, which is ironic because she would have hated it.
gerard way is wonderful, hes not afraid to cry on stage and hes been through some hard times, he could have fallen apart but instead he helps people get through life happy.
I'm 14 and my dad hay cancer and is going to die in the next 4 years. I just realized that i never tryed to see that through his eyes, i regret that i was awful and i wasted the time we still have together.

My uncle Has Skin Cancer and has had it for nearly 10 years. After a year they said to him... you wont have much longer but he has been tough enough to get through it. He went through more than 15 surgeries and the tumours still appear. Kemo didn't work and just made him sicker. When i listen to this song i get hope.. that because he is so strong metally.. that he will live.. as long as your suppose to.. :)

My little cousin died from cancer, PNET to be exact, a deadly brain tumor.Every one in 2,000,000 americans have this.Every time I listen to this song it makes me think of her. Her name was Samantha, the most beautiful girl in the world.

my grandma got cancer about a year ago and at first we didnt know how serious it was so i wasnt worried but it turned out that it was terminal. the first thing i did when my mum told me was run to my room to listen to this and cry. it still makes me think of her, which is ironic because she would have hated it.
gerard way is wonderful, hes not afraid to cry on stage and hes been through some hard times, he could have fallen apart but instead he helps people get through life happy.

I'm 14 and my dad hay cancer and is going to die in the next 4 years. I just realized that i never tryed to see that through his eyes, i regret that i was awful and i wasted the time we still have together.

@BonBon3589 Yes, they have a song called cancer, because calling it "The Hardest Part" doesn't really serve justice to the killer that is Cancer. That being said, "Cancer" is a killer song and is so deep. You are a heartless music critic if you don't like this song, or at least appreciate it.

Um yea they have a song called Cancer, and it's about a patient dying from cancer, not sure what's hard to grasp about that. MCR doesn't suck, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. This song and entire album actually has deep meaning unlike the shit I'm sure you listen to. Oh and I've been listening to MCR for well over 2 years now, plus they just came out with a new album which is fucking amazing.

@BonBon3589 I was really into MCR when I was younger, then stopped listening to them for a long time. I just listened to one of their songs a few weeks ago, and I see it in a different light. I feel like now that I'm more grown up, and don't look at music stereotypically and just see it for what it is, I enjoy My Chemical Romance's music. I don't like all of it, but I like it. I also think it was smart to call the song Cancer, I think it's kinda raw in a sense.

This song strikes a cord. :( Last year 4 days before my birthday my cousin Tanya passed away from cancer. and in January my grandmother-in-law passed from cancer. :( this song makes me sad thinking about them but kind of cheers me up a bit in a strange way. I just love this song either way.

My uncle Has Skin Cancer and has had it for nearly 10 years. After a year they said to him... you wont have much longer but he has been tough enough to get through it. He went through more than 15 surgeries and the tumours still appear. Kemo didn't work and just made him sicker. When i listen to this song i get hope.. that because he is so strong metally.. that he will live.. as long as your suppose to.. :)

i must admit, i hate my chemical romance, but this song does hit home to me, my nanny was told she had cancer on a friday and she dies on the monday, because she knew she wouldnt survive the diease, her old body just shut down in so little time, the worse thing was i wasnt there to say goodbye :(

a lot of people in my family have had cancer and its most likely hereditory but the thing is.. it that i'm not scared for myself that i may get it... i'm terrified that maybe my dad or my cousins will get it... becuase i could handle it a bit better if i was the one to get it but if someone i love were to get it and i'm just watching helplessly THAT is what i'm terrified of

There's a guy in my class who's aunt just died of cancer and his other aunt has to get ANOTHER lump removed. Cancer is so real in the world we live in today. We need to pray for the patients and their families to help them get through this.
