  • It looks fake, as in you just filmed a real truck. Nice work.

  • What radio system do you use?

  • @corybechtold Futaba T4EXA 4 Channel FM.- 36mhz. Don't use around planes :D Keeps me clear from all 27-29mhz glitches

  • @jezwah i would reccommend the newer 2.4 ghz systems, theyr interferrence free, and they use the fm band so they require far less power.

  • @magnetmannenbannanen Thanks for the tip mate. I had noticed how glitch free they are, but didn't know about the lesser power consumption. It was a matter of cost at the time, and I wanted to get Futaba. I will definitely buy a 2.4ghz setup next time i need to buy tx/rx. Thanks again.

  • wot size wheels r on that and don't mean to be cheeky but how much did it cost to build???

  • @MrPistonHead123 They are Proline Flat Iron 1.9's. I started with a new Tamiya kit and with all the goodies i bought it owes me over $1000au, but as it runs here with just these parts, probably $400-$500.

  • @jezwah would i be able to put a nitro petrol engine in 1???

  • @MrPistonHead123 i can't say it would be impossible, just impractical ! i think rccaraction did a custom txt-1 based nitro crawler a long time ago. just google it mate !

  • nice truck! how did u make those cb antennas?

  • @durst71463 it's a spring steel antenna for RC cars with a screw clamp adaptor for the receivers antenna to go into. i think it was $10 from a hobby shop. thanks!

  • excellent video and scale speeds thanks for sharing :)

  • @derv1958 thank you !

  • that looks awesome

  • sweet

  • Boy, i really LOVE the Aussie landscape and that truck looks fantastic! Good job, hope to see more of Australia being "becrawled"... ;D

  • @SNEQX2 Thanks alot !, you've motivated me to get back out there and get more footage :)

  • did you have to build it because it says kit on the thingy

  • @dan97nichols kit indeed means build. If you buy 2nd hand, save you $ and building..but the 1/2 the fun is the building

  • wow they looked different than than the flat irons to me .. very nice.. thank you for the reply..

  • I am thinking i might buy this chassis , sick of looking at the wheels sticking out ,

  • what tires are you running .. size too if ya dont mind me asking

  • @jeffnohio they are the pro-line flat iron tires in 1.9. From their website they quote 4.20" x 1.52" - that is like a 42" tire in real life.

  • This is awesome!

And to think RC was only big in short-course.

    Boy was I wrong.

  • @BIGCAL50CAL Thank you !

  • were was this video taken looks familia

  • @450hp202turbo it was taken at the quarry near cornubia., QLD, Australia

  • @jezwah i just seen all the copper rock and though it look like i place i was at recently Mt PerryQLD there is a old copper mine their. COOL TRUCK !

  • thnx for the help

i just got my scx10 today im very happy with it =)

  • Great Video!. At the beginning I thought it was full scale. You did a great job keeping the tires scale to the truck.

  • @Lite203 thanks very much !

  • As I've understood, and what it seems like looking on videos here on the tube, many people drive quite fast as if they were in a hurry or something. So when i saw your video i was happy that at least one person knows how to drive properly :) But as ypu said, everyone is free to drive however they like.

  • does the gelande winch bumper fit the t-finder chasis???

if not what winch bumper are yo using plz reply

    thnx

  • @dragon0r4p3r I can't help you with the Gelande, that's a question for RC4WD as they make the T-Finder chassis and the Gelande bumper. But i can tell you that i am using the Proline Western Bumper :) it isn't just a bolt on job though. You do need to make mounts. Cheers !

  • Great hilux and awesooome terrain for going off road!

  • @Boggerm75 thanks !

  • Really like your driving, slow and composed, not racing like most people do with their crawlers. Spoils the scale-look i think.

  • @Majktheman Thanks for the compliment. I totally agree on it spoiling the scale look. I don't get the point of building a scaler or crawler, and not driving to scale, or not crawling.

I like to achieve a climb with traction 1st, and momentum 2nd.

But each to their own !! I won't argue with a person who likes to drive fast, thats their style.

  • @lakkieonly you my friend are telling people to get a life when you make video's out of lego characters. Take a look in the mirror

  • Awesome vid mate!!

  • @rdsoneski thankyou !

  • i like it

  • get a life

  • @lakkieonly thanks for taking the time to let me know lol :)

  • @lakkieonly if you dont like offroad toys something is very wrong with you my friend

  • @lakkieonly why do you say that, I think this is a great truck!

  • @lakkieonly He has a life, why buy a truck for over $1,000 when you can buy an RC off road vehicle for under $750?

  • Hey mate i was just wondering where u got ur hilux body from?? coz im looking at getting one...cheers

  • @JakeBmx97 rcpcrawlers have the parts individually. just search hilux on their site. I started off with a whole tamiya kit from tcscrawlers many years ago when they had them. thanks

  • Damn, I also have a cheap RC4WD (in both ways, it either goes fast or slow, by a switch, and I can't go slow/fast with the control). And I don't have the right terrain around here. But this looks really nice :)

  • @ikt93 thanks !

  • whats your crawlpit name

  • @pagani2096 : Jezboosted.

  • i c u painted it again it looks good

  • i have two hiluxes now. the black lux is on a scx10 setup with 1.9 slingers , 27t integy kos, rooster esc, droop suspension. thanks !

  • o ok yeah both look great

  • thanks man. i will get some good footage of the scx10 hilux next as i haven't made any.

  • ok sound good

  • Very nice video and the best color on your Hilux.

What motor and esc do you use ?

  • Thank you ! I use a 60T eagle racing lathe motor and novak rooster crawler esc.

  • Superb excellent driving

  • Yeee Haaaaew !!!! excellent shots *****
