@underthehour2000 To be saved, you just pray to Jesus and admit you're a sinner. You want him in your life and you want repentance. Pray in his name and you're saved! You dont need to suffer or do anything else (Except live his truth, follow his teachings) because all the punishment was taken care of already.

@underthehour2000 Salvation is by God's grace through faith (which is even so, His gift to us). We can't do enough or do well enough in our own sinfulness to be 'saved' from the wrath we deserve. What we need to do is to respond to Jesus' work, which is DONE, by believing in Him -- confessing that He is Lord and believing IN (not just about) His fulfilled sacrifice (cf. Rom. 10.9). Regarding works, those should follow a Christ-follower's faith naturally (good vid on that - Dirty Cups video)
