  • The Goya Awards from Spain actually nominated this for Best Original song, since this was filmed in a studio in Spain by Rodrigo Cortes.

So this ditty stands a chance without Toy Story 3, Tangled and 127 Hours in the way...

The Goya awards did manage to nominate Ryan Reynolds for Best Actor, but with the Academy/Oscars he got ROBBED.

I haven't seen True Grit or Biutiful (Bardem won that Goya award) , but JesseEisenberg playing an cartoonified version of Zuckerberg, or RyanReynolds in Buried?

  • Great song.

  • that movei was soo sadd :'( he should of lived he cut off his finger for crying out loud

  • is this not on i tunes? man everything I have been searching lately is not on i tunes!!! it sucks hahah

  • This song made me cry xD

After all that, playing a happy song was just too much.

  • anyone know where i can find more songs by this artist?

  • @fuckyouitsminebiatch

Garrett's (our) group Track Dogs is based in Spain:

Check out Track Dogs on FB and the song Raise your head on Sound Cloud

On youtube: Move a Mountain or Easy like Sunday Morning

    All the best from Madrid!

  • This was truly a brilliant movie, we need more like this. Amazing acting and so unique filming. The song is perfect, I admit I cried when he died and having a happy song like this made me appreciate myself to be outside of the box and opened my eyes, truly brilliant. Anyone who thinks the song didn't fit is close minded and should broaden their horizons

  • great movie, great performance by Ray as well...though some may argue otherwise it was refreshing to see someone like him in this type of a movie, kudos to Cortez we need more like you in the world...:D

  • This song was great, just perfect, really.

  • At least they didn't play this while he was dying. Singing about "seagulls" and "the limitless blue", the great outdoors with fresh air while he is suffocating in a box.

  • I don't know about the rest, but this movie really made me reconsider my life. I am very happy Ryan Reynolds made this movie. =)

  • like if you searched this right after the movie

  • @frankiealec Hello from Madrid, Spain!

Check out Garrett's group Track Dogs on FB and the song Raise your head on Sound Cloud for something with a similar sound

On youtube: Move a Mountain, or Easy like Sunday Morning

  • What a terrible song to end with A guy just died in the worst possible way, Getting buried and they end with this happy song

  • @TheMinecraftBros12 It might have to be symbolic for heaven, there is a line about skies above. Leaves turning gold. Basically suggesting miracles. It was written by the director, so its possible that the reasoning is to show some effect about what happens after death.

  • (3/3) Take a look at the warm rays in the sunset burning in the West. Where the sea laps the great rocks. Spring is everywhere. In the lap of the mountain, in the lap of the sun, down by the river, love is waiting for us. In the lap of the mountain, ‘neath the limitless blue, in the lap of the mountain I can’t help loving you.

  • (2/3) In the lap of the mountain, on a still cloudless night, the ships sound their foghorns ‘neath the flickering stars. In the lap of the mountain, at the end of the blue, through spring lawns and shadows the wind blows only for you.In the lap of the mountain, in the lap of the sun, I've been blessed by your sweet love, life has only begun. Where the light slays the shadow, where you loll on up high, in the lap of the mountain my dreams are the sun.

  • (1/3) In the lap of the mountain, so far and wide, down by the river, love is waiting for us.

Where the leaves turn to gold, ‘neath the limitless blue, in the lap of the mountain I can’t help loving you. The seagulls are squalling in the sky above. I know that you love me but I wanted you much more.

  • The song was written by the director himself (Rodrigo Cortés), and it seems to be an ironic choice, a kind of comment to the film, or to the things that the film is NOT about, I guess.

I have the the lyrics, according to the booklet included in the special Blu-ray edition Warner published in Spain, let my write them in the following post...

  • the ending made me feel like crap for somereason

  • WAT ARE THE LYRICS???!!?!

  • good choice of music for this movie...upsetting, oppressive, moving...Seen in a little dorm room of 9m²...the better place. Feel one is being with Paul...

  • Disagree previous comment... The whole movie is pretty much depressing wouldn't you say? The only glimmer of hope is at the end and that is taken away in a matter of seconds... You need a beautiful, happy song in the credits or else everyone will purely feel like the movie was depressing... Letting people walk out of a theatre thinking about how sad they are now, not right

  • @Theneuf94 Well theres that possibility or its the directors view on death, I suppose.

  • I hate this song. The audience should not be cheered up with songs like this during the credits because it might make them forget the impact of the final scene. At least they could have first had a couple minutes of more somber music.

  • I typically enjoy it when the protagonist dies at the end of a film. It adds a certain element and value to the story. But this is one movie where all I wanted was for him to get out of that box. When he didn't, I couldn't movie from my seat for several minutes I was so distraught. This movie has given me so much more respect for Ryan Reynolds as an actor.

  • pretty ironic song choice

  • Perfect endind for the proposal of the movie, it remind me of the gold bug of Alan Poe for ending in a twist. Great song.

  • I did not have the strength to cry it was so horribly tragic. The final I was really petrified

  • Somebody tell me please where i can find the lyrics.

  • great film

  • Listening to this song makes me more sad......

  • what genre would this be?

  • I never wished a "Happy End" so hard than in this movie :(

  • @Kruebit at least Mark White was saved!

  • @blastpost

    But not Paul Conroy...

  • cunando escuché la canción, al terminar la película, sentí que el Director había jugado con mis sentimientos jajaja.... aun así, muy buena película... y para mí las películas que juegan con los sentimientos son las mejores

  • favorite saying, god helps those who helps them selfs

  • So cool if someone could get the tabs or chords

  • thx for this begining :)

  • In the lap of a mountain, so far and wide/ down by the river, lover is waiting for us/ where the "easterly" goes, I need the limitless of blue, in the lap of a mountain, I can't help loving you. Seagulls are swirling in the sky above, I know that you love me, but I wanted you much more. in the lap of a mountain.

Not sure about the "Easterly goes" part.

  • @gunchibaiyya I think that part says "where the leaves turn to gold"

  • how can we get the lyrics ? i hadn't find them on the web.

  • the end is bitchy, but Mr. White will be happy :)

  • @gr5grh he was dead.

  • @360TheaterOfPWN Paul died. Mr. White was found instead of Paul or not?

  • @gr5grh SPOILERS (for others not me :p)

well i guess i could be wrong but earlier they talked about mr. white, saying they saved him. then they end up finding mark white, which implies they never actually saved him. yes, mr white was found instead of paul, but he was found dead, meaning they never rescued him, and paul never actually never did have a good chance of being saved either.

  • @360TheaterOfPWN it just adds to the sadness. it's all so desperate

  • I can't remember a better song played during the credits of a movie. Awesome!

  • holy fuck this isnt the avett brothers?

  • @ackmarzmenn Check out Track Dogs on FB and the song Raise your head on Sound Cloud

    On youtube: Move a Mountain

  • Sorry to say.....sad but true......This will be the fate of all muslims one day, because of their choice to follow Muhamed and reject Jesus Christ for all eternity. In fact.....the space you have in Hell will be far more confining, and far worse, as it will be inhabited also by the millions of demons that tempted you while you were on earth. Muslims that go to their earthly grave.......will have a nasty surprise to be in a flaming coffin for eternity.

  • @handonrip I believe in Jesus to but we are supposed to accept everyone, try to convert and follow in Jesus' footsteps. Dont just call out the Muslims, thats uncool. Just love everyone and people will follow you. Are job here on earth is to save people, not just tell them they are srewed

  • @stevenneufeld well nothing i have said is untrue. The point is that muslims need something to think on besides the lies of muhamed. The truth is there will be no virgins in heaven, nor will there be anything as mundane as sex. God knows what each man needs to hear , and in manner in which he needs to hear it. I have my job and you have yours. Do not talk down on me . Has there not been a pastor that has told you about hell.? If you are not scared away from hell, it will be your home.

  • @handonrip dont talk down to you? DONT TALK ABOUT WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO BELIEVE! Your opinion about religion is nothing more true than what a muslim, a jew or a buddhist belive. You have NO right to say that Muslims are wrong and you are right. YOU CANT JUDGE as the only judge here is GOD! It is sad that you think YOU have the answer to the questions of the unviverse and others have to obey them. Let people think for themselves otherwise you are a tyrant and NOT tolerant as a true christian!!

  • when this song started my face was like :0

  • si, española de pura cepa. Lo mismo pasa con otras pelis rodadas en inglés pero con producción plenamente española, como Mi vida sin mi, Frágiles, Darkness o La vida secreta de las palabras! +

  • Great movie, underrated by people, most people dislike sad endings, they prefer dumb and predictable endings, people are fucked up

  • saw this last night

sad, then i just started laughing

  • I love the film and this track but it doesn't really fit the mood of the movie, thumbs up if you agree.

  • @Whatever6217 No! I laughed my ass off!

  • The one dislike is the guy in the movie ;D

  • I love this song it sad in the movie

  • They should have just played Rick Astley Never Gonna Give You Up after the ending.

  • What genre is this? Country? Great Movie! But yeah eh ending sux!

  • The ending is, like, so depressing. Makes you think "Ah, shit. That sucks." But it is a brilliant movie.

  • Graeat song to go with the movie

  • the best film of 2010 (IMO)

  • at the end i was like

    ... that's it?

i was pretty mad about that but the movie was great

  • sniffle*

    lol

  • Garrett Wall Band are now called Track Dogs

The Breath-no-breathers was a band of musicians gathered together for the recording of this song for the movie "Buried", some of whom played on Garrett's debut album in Spain "Gravity"... Track Dogs are about to release their debut album and single "move a Mountain" is now on iTunes...

  • a little banjo makes a song.

  • this song sounds awesome in rear car speaker..with low volume

  • mild sound far from yourself....still sounds deep in your heart.....love this song!!!!

  • Apparently the director wrote it and got this band to play it.

  • I saw the ending coming a mile away... but no amount of esp could predict hearing this song after the end lol.

  • @Smullet90 How did you guess the ending?

  • @Hallinilla9

I guess I just have a knack for it... it seemed pretty obvious what was going to happen, for me. But the song was a definite twist lol. you can tell the personality of the director by the way he built it up, so a real movie buff would've even seen the song coming I suppose lol.

  • @Smullet90 Yeah it would have been a real surprise if he lived and we got a happy ending. These kinds of movies don't often go that way.

  • @Hallinilla9

It sure seems like it. Every once in a while I'd like an obvious ending ... because the twist has become obvious. And every once in a while I'd like to see the good guy in a children's movie die and have an unhappy ending... I don't ask for much.

  • @Smullet90 Barney gets killed by poachers or something.

  • @Hallinilla9

    I smell an Oscar.

  • love this song..but never heard of the band..now that they have this song out maybe they will get exposure xo

  • good movie, buena pelicula pena que muy pocos las entienden..

  • this song is so good

reminds me of the avett brothers

but i cant find any info or anything on this band anywhere

  • funniest ending i've ever seen at the ending of a suspense flick. it's like the direction was sayin', "i just put you through a rollarcoaster ride of emotion an' now that you've seen the ending i'd like to end you on this note to make your night better. hit it Garret!" *banjo music begins.*

  • @sye117 i know right! im like really?! you chose this song to play after emotionally raping me?

  • @elmokills22 I'm pretty sure the irony was intentional

  • @sye117

you were emotionally raped after watchin' this laugh fest? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! no SAW for you!

  • @sye117 I thought it was great contrast. After the immense emotional ride and an ending that leaves you emotionally drained and just HOLLOW, follow it with a joyous song. It's a bit mocking even - I just sat there thinking about the ending and the cheer of the song didn't make me happy, it worked to amplify how damn bad I felt.

  • @Banned4Life

you've got a damn good explanation for this song an' endin'. it was mockin' us but that's where the humor for me comes in. too many times have i seen endin's where i feel bad but for once there's a twist. i love those twists that make the producers seem a tad more interestin'. you might like the movie Powder if yer lookin' for a good one.

  • The ending is so sad..

  • @CLEE1395 Yes I agree. And it was, I think, the motivation of the movie makers in adding this song...to MAYBE add a bit of "light" ...if you will, into a really dark and sad ending.

  • @CLEE1395 i actually wanted to cry at the end of the movie but i didnt idk why but i ACTUALLY WANTED TO CRY

  • @jakc101 I DID cry.

  • My body just shook crazily after watching the movie. The song just came up after all.

  • Loved the movie ad love the song

  • Part a: F| F |C| F

    Part b: F |Bb Bbm |F| Bb G| C

  • Great song, thanks for uploading. Is Garret Wall & The Breath-No-Brother the same band as Garret Wall Band? I'm guessing so but there's very little info available on this band.

  • @AllRiseForDrEvil Yeah I'm not too sure either! That's just what it says on the CD lol

  • @3davetherave3 Garrett Wall Band are now called Track Dogs

The Breath-no-breathers was a band of musicians gathered together for the recording of this song for the movie "Buried", some of whom played on Garrett's debut album in Spain "Gravity"... Track Dogs are about to release their debut album and single "move a Mountain" is now on iTunes...

  • I can´t find the lyrics and chords to this song...

Please...if anyone have it...send it to me.

    Thanks :)

  • @AllRiseForDrEvil

i thought they might be the same but they dont sound the same.. and garrett wall band has two T's and the breath-no-brother garret doesnt... i dunno

garrett wall band isnt as good as this song... based on the songs on their myspace anyway
