  • I'm going to have to watch this movie again because I can't keep my eyes off Charles Groden and I'm missing it. He doesn't even have half of the lines that anybody else in the movie has and he's the funniest of them all.

  • LOL

    great writing!

  • She gave him the money to give him a moment to talk to her daughter...

  • the scene at 4:40 is worth an Oscar

  • how the fuck is it possible that this masterpiece is an unkown movie?how the fuck can this not be top 3 in every de niro movie/role etc list?the simplicity, the fulness of characters and relationships all perfectly intergrated in the story.

  • i love this flick for its characters - all sharp and tough in their own way - and for the laughs nonstop thruout but this scene ... this scene blows me away deniro and the kid but grodin and the wife too man it's effing touchingly beautiful grodin's 'im a white collar criminal' im off the stool laughing deniro & the kid at the car im trying not to bust out cryin' i LOVE this flick and particularly this scene t/y for th share
  • fuck the bus what happened to the god damn plane

  • "Did it ever occur to you that I am a Professional and that I might have my Reasons?"

  • You guys can check out my documentary "Michael Jackson Symbolism" in which I will highlight the connection between Deniro, Pesci, Scorcese, Dileo and Michael Jackson who are really good friends knowing what's going on out there.

  • I have so much respect for De Niro even though he took part in a lot of movies but recently he repented and gave a speech about regretting taking parts in some movies and this movie is a pure comedy making fun of the different corruption happening in the FBI and the Mafia even though it doesn't shed light on some of them working together in parts but the comedy and drama in this movie makes you feel good and makes you rewatch it again and again, God bless you Deniro!

  • xDD Eddie going off is the best. lol

  • Gotta say, this is a real touching moment of the film, it keeps the balance of comedy intact. Awesome movie!

  • "93 bottles of beer....on....the...WALLLL..." :D

  • GO TO CHIN-LU.

    DE NIRO IS THE BEST

  • ROFLMAO 8:43 onwards

  • Some truly outstanding performances from De Niro and Danielle DuClos. Really, that scene gets me every time!

  • This movie shows how Jack is a true loving father because he didn't accept the money from his poor daughter although he was in a lot of troubles and could have ended him to jail. Respect

  • Eddie goes off @ 8:14...LMFAO

  • This is 0ne of those movies that is great for repeat viewing.

  • @GothChristianPatriot Ive seen this movie dozens of times and it never gets old.... the daughter scene is heart wrenching .... every scene is worthy...not a single line of dialogue is wasted

  • My computer speakers got all messed up when Eddie shouts: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON DOWN THERE!?!?.... classic scene!!

  • im a white collar criminal

  • The wife really is a bitch. He's really better off without her.

  • at 8:30 "Eddie, I will shoot him and dump him in the fucking swamp!" The head shake to Charles Grodin is funny and brilliant!

  • classic film i can watch this over n over you wo udnt think Charles Grodin waqs 53 years old in this movie class film

  • good one

  • No offence to boys, but daughters are like the sweetest thing in a world for dads

  • @yajennifer

    Yeah, until they discover boys.

  • that would have been interesting if the movie was 15 minutes longer in total and they showed Jack go back to Chicago to pay back his ex wife the money.

  • Joe Pantoliano (EDDIE) is 1 of the best actors ever what a movie this is ................CLASSIC

  • "ninety three bottles of BEER...ON.....THE....WALL"

  • 93 bottles of beer on the wall ,then the face 2 face stare!! hahahahahahhahaaha!!

  • Jack Walsh should open up a donut shop instead of a coffee shop. Donut lovers are so loyal.

  • It's rare in movies where the child actors can actually act..

  • insanity21376 ..yea great ending too.. i watched this movie so many times

  • "Oh captain, royalty."

  • ..that scene with his ex wife and his daughter was very touching, one of the best scenes in the movie..

  • @RAIDERS7009 That's why this is one of my favorite movies of all time .. as hilarious as it is, it still has it's sentimental parts and an outstanding story. Not to mention, one of the best endings for any movie.

  • "FUCK the bus, I wanna know what happened to the goddamn plane!!!" LOL

  • It's funny as hell when Eddie makes a scene in the restuarant. lolz

  • Very entertaing, and yes that's a lovely angel ahhh

  • "Phone is tapped". That's my favorite scene out of the whole movie. lol. "Where am I?, I'm in Boise, ID, no no no wait a minute I'm in Anchorage, AK, no no wait I'm in Portland, OR. So now you're gonna have to pack up all your shit and go home cause I'm onto you DUMB FUCKS! Eddie, you're phone is tapped."

  • "I WILL SHOOT HIM AND DUMP HIM IN A FUCKING SWAMP!"

    *Nods no*

    LOLOLOL

  • The way his daughter looks at him at 4:31 is priceless.

  • @Sylvania49

I fully agree with you. Any time I watch this scene I get very emotional: thanks Denise

  • @Sylvania49 - Yeah, his daughter looks so sweet.

  • "Eddie. Eddie...Eddie, I swear to God don't start with me now or I will shoot him and I will dump him in the fucking swamp!"

    LOL LOL Best line.

  • @pooyan6969 him shaking his head no to the duke made it even more funny

  • The girl playing his daughter was in a movie a few years later ("Can't Buy Me Love"?) with Patrick Dempsey where he paid her to date him.

  • best movie, great cast..

  • He goes from 96 bottles of beer on the wall straight to 93 bottles. WTF?

  • 'Or I'll shoot him and dump his body in a fucking swamp' *shakes head*

    I love that part XD

  • 7.25 from then on best bit of the film loooooooooool

  • 'well let me describe the scene for you, theyve been up for like 2 days, they stink of bio, they have coffee breath there constipated from sitting on there asses for so long' lmao

  • This guy's life is in a shambles, and she's giving him shnit. He's far better off without her.

  • Beautiful scene... always chokes me up! Wonder what the sequel's going to be like...

  • how foolish of him to blow it-Why did he let the FBI know he was on to them- He could have given the FBI constant false leads

  • I can't believe Sell Out De Niro is making a sequel this film. I mean, yeah, sure -- it's not the best film ever made, but it's one of the great comedies of our time. The idea of making a sequel 20+ years later WITHOUT Grodin is, well, despicable. I used to love De Niro, but he's burnt so many bridges in my book. Has he even made a single good film in the past ten years? Leave a good film alone...

  • @karaokefuntime I though the Good Shepherd was a good film. Other than that the pickings have been slim.

  • @karaokefuntime no no Charles grodin is in the movie as well

  • @karaokefuntime what have YOU done?

  • Jack's ex-wife was certainly in very futile denial about how crooked her husband was. I wonder if the hubby got arrested when Serrano finally went down.

  • FUCK THE BUS LMAO!!!

  • @alexander92648

Let's see your acting you worthless loser.

  • Never said I could act, but your MOM sure ACTED happy when I put it in her butt last night.

  • @alexander92648

    Dick.

  • You sir, are a convicted MORON. Fuck off to your cave.

  • they never convicted me. here are some filthy words to ruin your day... CUNTBLOODYCUNTCUNTFUCKFCUKCKUFKDCKCKSHIT SHIIIIIITTTTT!@@ OMG SHITTTTTTTTIIIITTTTT!!!

  • You're convicted. Internet coward.

  • C'mon, dont BULLSHIT me

  • What a brilliant brilliant actor he was, before he becames ze great Bob de Niro !

  • @nekhtful IS, not WAS..... you're a waste of flesh over bones & organs.

  • The boy who opened the door is kind of rude.

He represents the personality of Gail's new husband.

  • This is the best movie of all time for me and this part is one of my favorites.

Thanks for sharing this great movies with us all.

  • great movie deniros best

  • Thank you for posting. I'm crying my eyes out. Again.

  • hahaha "don't start with me or i will f*in shoot him and dump him in a f*in swamp!" *shakes head*

    brilliant

  • I'm on to you, you dumb fucks!

  • He should have taken the money from his daughter.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw that was soo swweeeet of his daughter tho......

  • No matter how much trouble I'm in I would never take money from my own kids. I would not be able to look my self in the mirror

  • I'm a white collar criminal LOL

  • SHIT!

  • I am white collar criminal...

  • 93 bottles of beer..on..the...walllll hahaha

  • Great screenplay. Why did Jack have to "leave town" and ultimately lose his family? He wouldn't take the money. What won't he do in this scene? He won't take the money. Incorruptible and paying the price.

  • This is one of those times where doing the right thing is much tougher than the wrong thing.

Still, it's easy in this respect: can you imagine what it's like in prison for crooked cops?

  • let me paint the picture 2 days ago on you tube i played the lionn king 1 for my kids yesterday i played the lion king 2 for my kids and today im playing midnite run now you tube is just seeing me play the lion king 1 and 2 and following it up with this they must think im out of my fukin mind and just for the record i am ;-) ha ha

  • "Jack, stop fuckin' around where are you?!" HAHA!!!!

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE???? 8:23

  • That's great how he confuses the FBI where he is at. But what happen to the god damn plane? Hahaha.

  • 08:33-08:34 - ROFL!

  • that is the first time that I've seen any two actresses out perform De Niro, even if he still was utterly brilliant.

  • Do you think he looks up the daughter after the movie ends?

  • I think De Niro and Mosely become good drinking buddies after the movie ends.

  • Who? De Niro? If Woody Allen had been cast instead of De Niro he probably would have.

  • no, the director says "cut" and they moved on to different movies.

  • Yes.

  • Pretty uncommon to put such a dramatic scene in between this comedy and action. Meaning the scene between him and his daughter. Cause to me this drama at its best.

  • I thought the exact same thing. An incredibly moving scene.

  • powerful stuff in the middle of an action movie and the final scene -the money belt -the music makes both scenes but de niro is all class -great supporting cast too

  • powerful stuff in the middle of an action movie (and the final scene -the money belt )-the music makes both scenes but de niro is all class -great supporting cast too -grodin should have gotten a best supporting oscar

  • He doesn't give up with the stupid police department! ahhh!

  • best thing about this movie. the rants !

  • One of the truly underrated comedies of the 1980s-damn good flick.

  • The look in the daughter is enough to break your heart.

  • the mother is superb(Danielle du Clos)

  • @7beers

  • @7beers Couldn't agree more

  • THis movie is very good.

Robert De Niro is the best in Holywood!

  • Yeah it really is .. so hilarious yet has a great story and an amazing ending.

  • 93 bottles of beer...on...the.wallll

    hysterical

  • 8:20, is moscone in a food court?

  • Yeah, I agree. Pantoliano is pure gold in that scene! But I also love how DeNiro says "...or I'll shoot him and I will dump him in a FUCKING SWAMP!!!" and then shakes his head at Grodin. Hilarious!

  • AWKWARD!!!!!

  • LOOOOOL from 8:10-8:40! My most favorite scene! Just focking hilarious!

  • i was just about to say the exact same thing

  • ROFL

"We had to scrap the bus."

"FUCK the bus I wanna know what happened to the GODDAMN PLANE!"

Joe Pantoliano was awesome in this scene.

  • hahahaha

  • "So long, everybody!" LOL.

  • "You're in a lot of trouble, Jack." What a laugh. She'll be in a lot of trouble once her husband gets exposed as a crooked cop. Deep down, she realizes this.

  • Eat shit nub. These movies were da best for it's age and still are.

Today's Hollywood garbage sucks. 80's ftw. fagget.

  • Die in a fire, shitpants.

  • aw i kno that was so akward

  • ...and a brilliant, heartfelt performance by Danielle DuClos as Denise. Too bad she didn't get a lot of screen time or I'd say she should have been nominated for an oscar.

A great, heart-wrenching scene that gives the whole movie more depth.

    Brava, Danielle.

  • I cry EVERYTIME in that scene.. where DeNiro is yelling at his wife and then suddenly the daughter (who he hasen't seen in 9 years) shows up.. omg, that is sooo strong.

  • 2:07 "You don't look much like a criminal".

    "I'm a white-collar criminal"

Great line. Grodin at his subtle best.

  • @InTraphic yes yes YES both the line and grodin's delivery

    are sheer perfection in moviedom

of course w/ midnight run it is COMPLETELY impossible to pick

a favorite line but this one gotta be on the short list

  • Where am I? I'm in Boise, Idaho; no, no, no, wait a minute: I'm in Anchorage, Alaska. No, no, wait: I'm in Casper, Wyoming; I'm in the lobby of a Howard Johnson's and I'm wearing a pink carnation.

  • 6:44 those two phone calls are the funniest part of the whole film, especially when he is talkin about the undercover FBI guys, hilarious !!
