  • Amazing. Imagine having Neil to your right and Mike to your left. Pathos is right, cause most "artists" try and create "pathos", like they do "verisimilitude". The genius of Eddie is listening for cues off the other, but what comes through is purely soul. No quotation marks needed

  • one of the best voices

  • Brilliant. End of.

  • @ladonnastanbaugh78

What an asshole you are !!! Who gives a shit about a guys looks, when they can write and sing like Eddie Vedder !!! Beautiful song and great voice Eddie !!! Shame that 9/11 Tribute to Heroes videos like this one are sullied by pompous idiots like this one !!

  • Love this version. Eddie your the best.

  • this song always makes me cry, especially this version

  • @JIrvingG I like the original a lot more.

  • simply love Eddie's voice... lovely

  • amazing... eddie vedder is a genius....

  • is it just me, or does eddie totally look like a young Elvis?

  • @leemohn UGH, are you f***ing kidding me? Elvis was gross.....always!

  • was this song featured in dead man walking

  • Yes - one of my all-time favourite films, Sean Penn was fantastic in it.

  • Great job by Eddie. Beautiful.

  • EV at his best.

  • beauty full.

  • tim the tool man taylor?

  • amazing

  • neil! and vedder!

  • no.. no.. its Neil and Eddie,, or Young & Vedder,,, or better yet,, Vedder & Young.

  • Absolutely beautiful...

  • excelente audio...sobre todo la intervencion de ed vedder....excelente video

  • I know this is a shallow comment but My God Eddie Vedder is Gorgeous.

    Beautiful song.

  • it doesn't matter anymore... even if we find out it was planned it doesn't take us out of this stupid war that we've gotten involved in since the tragedy at 911 so get over yourself and just cope with it all... it doesn't make a difference regardless...

  • serious? wow, so the US gov't. just happened to take advantage of the fact that 19 jihadists took over those planes and quick got up in the buildings and set off some C4 to help take the building down? Talk about paranoid there buddy! I understand that there are things that governments keep from their people, but this is just idiocy. The reason they came down from fire is that the flames were too hot from the jet fuel. Talk to any architect or engineer worth their salt and they'll confirm that.

  • jet fuel doesn't burn anywhere near hot enough to melt steel. there were pools of molten steel found WEEKS later at the bottom of the piles from all THREE towers. care to explain that one? the official story of 911 is the conspiracy theory. and oh yea, pearl jam rocks.

  • Shut up and go away. How many people with degrees in like metallurgy and engineering have said this was not possible? And maybe 10 have popped up to say that they didn't think it added up? 10 of any population will come up with some harebrained bullshit that another 10 will believe.

You are an annoying person, and you probably smell kind of funny. Try taking a bath and looking at the real world for a second. Wishing those buildings back up will not accomplish anything.

  • emozionante!

  • Magical!!!

  • beautiful song... we have it on vynal on a b-side from years ago :) makes me cry everytime... gives me goose bumps. Love it. Truely beautiful

  • Uncle Neil.

  • Eddie Vedder has one of the best voices out there. He can project so much emotion and pathos into his voice whether it's a song like Jeremy or this song.

  • Love this song. Pearl jam is awesome, and Neil makes it complete

  • I will never forget this particular version of Long Road. A powerful song by itself, the events of 9/11 gave it new meaning.

  • This is such a beautiful and moving song about wishing you had one more day with someone you have lost. I had a friend of mine sing this at my fathers funeral and it was perfect. I love this song - it touches my soul.

  • this was my favorite song after 9/11. A great song, unfortunately cannot find it in karoake.

  • This is so amazing

  • This song when I heard it on that tribute...Damn changed me! Awesome

  • This song gives me goose bumps, and has ever done.. I got em now even... lol. Great song and performance.

  • this version of Long Road might be one of the best ever done.

  • Ed, Mike, and Neil = AWESOME!

  • we all walk the long road...

  • man this is a great song lyrics filled with passion and heart, although this song was written way back 1995.

  • Breaks my heart...

  • WOW!

Seeing this video reminds me of that horrible week in 2001. My job involves my going to the local airport here in Detroit. Normally up until that Tuesday, I was used to seeing the lights of a lot of planes on final approach. After the airport reopened, I remember heading down there and that's when it all hit me. the skies were empty now. I had to pull over and cry. This didn't just happen in NYC, DC or Shanksville. It was everywhere.

  • great song
